This place is a gem!

First off, the hours on yelp are wrong. They are indeed open for lunch during weekdays. 

Even though this looks like a hike in a wall place, the food is phenomenal. It shows the owner and the chef care about their food. It's a stark contrast to all the touristy traps in this area.

On top of that, the prices are very reasonable. We got the set lunch for 19 euros and they were more than enough to power me for the rest of my tourist day ;)

Friendly owner who speaks English, hallelujah! 

- located in the lovely Montmarte area
- if you can't speak or read French, no worries, simply flip over the menu for English
- owner is waiter, cashier, and host so be patient (if you're familiar with eating in Paris, you know how that goes) 
- owner is SUPER warm to tourists, which is SPECTACULAR (IYKYK- I mean, it's Paris)
- we asked owner for wine recommendation (8 euro/glass) and it was so good!! Definitely don't hesitate to ask for wine recommendation 
- has A/C unit
- free WiFi (just ask owner for password) 
- reservations highly recommended but not required for weekday night (not sure about weekend, since we came on a Tuesday. But seeing as how they only have about 10 tables and no patio seating, I'd highly recommend a reservation)

- Housemade Foie Gras is TO DIE FOR (12.5/10): we literally mopped up the plate with the bread 

- Beef sirloin (10/10): comes with creamy Parmesan and garlic (mild) mashed potatoes with jus and green beans, grass fed beef - I'm not kidding when I say we cleaned up the plate

- the jus for the beef sirloin (12.5/10) is ORGASMIC and a wonderfully executed demi- glaze that I wish they sold so I could buy a whole suitcase full and take it back to the states. That's how good it is. So good it deserves its own f***ing tribute. It's like the essence of a cow boiled down into the jus 

- strawberry rubarb dessert with ice cream (10/10): with homemade merengue, such a delectable variety of  textures and flavors - we managed to impress the owner since we also cleaned this plate

TLDR: amazing food, great service, come for an enjoyable intimate meal and you won't regret it

Cute location and inside. One of the best meals we had on our trip. The service was excellent! Be sure to have a reservation as it's quite small.

Found this little gem on Butte Montmartre. It does not look like much from the outside as it has no outdoor seating. The place is pretty small, probably not more than 30 seats. The staff is very friendly and super attentive. The menu has a limited number of items but with enough variety to please most everyone. I had the foie gras appetizer, which was awesome, and nicely paired with a nice white wine from Gascogne, a gros manseng- sauvignon blend, recommended by the server. As a main course I had the duck breast which was perfectly cooked and served on an eggplant purée with some delicious garlic mashed potato balls. I took the desert of the day, which was a delicious cherry pavlova, a light meringue based desert, which was brought to life by the crushed cherries. The service was fantastic. The server was pleasant, attentive anon the ball. I even thought he was the owner of the place, but it turns out that the owner is the chef in the kitchen. This place does everything well.

The food was fantastic! The service was some of the best we experienced while in Paris. Definitely someplace we will return to.

What a fantastic meal!  Their 3 course prix fixe for 39E is a great deal!  Everything we had was beautifully prepared and presented. The service was wonderful and the host was fine with speaking English with us.

We arrived in the Montmartre neighborhood without any reservations and we were able to walk in at opening and be seated it did fill rather quickly. It only has about 10-12 tables and 1 server but he did an excellent job keeping up and giving excellent service in 3 languages at the same time.  The food was very tasty and nice portion sizes at a fair price.  I was able to get  a delicious starter and a beef cheek bourguignonne while my wife got a delicious fish dish, complimentary wine and a scrumptious dessert so we didn't have to over order.  If you're in Montmartre it's worth a visit.

Found L'Annexe while wandering the neighborhood hoping to find solid French cuisine. We couldn't have been more pleased. One of our party has a decent ear for french, excellent pronunciation and a solid dining vocabulary, but the hostess spoke beautiful English, as did the servers which is handy to note for fellow travelers!

My beef bourguignon lunch special was SO good, one of my friends ordered it at a fancier place we visited later in the trip and it was nowhere near as good as mine was at L'Annexe. I would have preferred more carrots in mine, but seriously the broth was perfection, the meat texture struck the balance where it tore apart with a bit of effort using a fork - and the bread had that crunchy crust and light fluffy innards that soaked up the broth so good... my side was potatoes... done... some kind of fabulous french way that I didn't quite catch the name of, but said yes to on the recommendation of the hostess walking by. 
We also didn't feel rushed but didn't have to linger too long waiting to ask for the check - we were checked in on regularly and felt the meal was the perfect speed for a lunch to rest the legs a short while before heading back out to enjoy what the city had to offer. 

It was a bit too chilly to sit outside that day for us but the seating looked adorable, and we would've if we hadn't spent so much time atop the windy hill at Sacre Coeur first... 

Clean bathrooms down a bit of a steep stairway in the basement (might be a bit difficult for anyone with mobility issues) but that fits right in with Sacre Coeur's hills and steep inclines just fine...  Would definitely recommend, as there were a few options out of our price range that we could smell as other patrons ordered that they seemed exceptionally pleased with!

An excellent dinner spot in Paris that deserves more attention and a closer look for visitors to the city. We dined here on Valentines Day and had a lovely experience with the chef even stepping out of the kitchen on more than one occasion to ask about the food. The prix fix menu offers a nice variety of options across all three courses and comes in at a reasonable price for a high quality meal.

We had the creamed cauliflower and gravlax appetizers and loved both, the cauliflower came prepared in a really interesting and unique texture and the salmon had just the right Asian influence with sesame oil and ponzu. For our entrees, we chose the duck breast and a fish in curry style sauce with noodles, both of which were divine.

The desserts were great, with the caramel finger being the standout dish. You can't go wrong here!
