Le Regent in Paris was a surprise highlight of our trip. I had a strange craving for spaghetti while visiting and couldn't find a single place that served it with tomato sauce. Even the Italian restaurants we tried either didn't have spaghetti or offered no tomato-based options. I honestly started wondering what kind of Italian food France serves. While walking by Le Regent, we checked the menu and decided to give it a try. I ordered the linguine bolognese and my partner had the duck. Both dishes were delicious. The waiter was very kind and spoke English well enough to make things easy. This was day three in France and it was the first time I actually felt full. The food so far had been underwhelming, but Le Regent really saved the day and gave Paris a much-needed win.

Great restaurant right outside the Metro Station Cadet. Very friendly staff who speaks good English. In addition you can use a QR code to see an English menu. The food is fresh and very tasty. The Pizzas are delicious, so are the Pasta dishes. And I had a very tasty steak, yum. Highly recommended

Had a wonderful experience here, my first French restaurant while visiting Paris first time. Ordered Meal 2 with onion soup, pan fried sea bass and chocolate cake dessert. All delicious, great service and English speaking. For fun people watching, take an outdoor table as it's on a busy street

Not sure how we ended up here. The food is acceptable. The atmosphere and vibe are not.

The four of us needed dinner and the look of it from the outside showed pretty full place and nice ambiance. We were shown to a nice table,a little close but OK.  The waiter had limited English but we managed the drinks order, wine and beer.  Our menu had the items listed in English so pretty easy for us.  
All of our food was great, baked salmon, small beef steak and a nice thin crust Margherita pizza.  My wife's salad was fresh and tasty.  We shared a couple of desserts, ice cream and tiramisu.  The total bill was around 120 Euros.  
The next might just my wife and I came back and shared a ceasar salad and pizza, again very tasty!    Will definitely return if possible.
The restaurant staff was friendly and accommodating.

First meal after getting off train from London. Carbonara and Lasagna are both good. But anything properly seasoned after London would be noticeable. Seriously though, had good experience.

This is the first place my wife (gf then) and I stopped when landing late-night in Paris. We checked into our hotel and wanted to go out for a drink, so we took a walk down the street.

Let Régent looked exactly like what I imagined a small french café looking like. We stopped by here and got a couple late-night drinks and dessert.

We stumbled across this location after learning just about everything closes early in Paris for a NYer! 

We started off with the pizza which was delicious! In celebration of a special day the chef was kind enough to make it in a heart. 

We enjoyed their happy hour drink specials and we both enjoyed a pasta dish. We also ventured to dessert which was also great. 

I think they were amazed at home much two small people could eat but Americans really struggle with portion control. 

The waiter was polite and spoke great English. The bar tender was fun and the chef was awesome. 

The ambiance we great, there was a variety of music played. 


I highly recommend this location. It's economical and delicious. You won't be disappointed.

Haven taken the RER from De Gaulle airport into Paris and switching to the Metro when we surfaced with our luggage we found ourselves standing in front of Mc Donald's...welcome to France.

Yes we were hungry but we passed and crossed the street and entered Le Regent cafe.

After a warming cafe au lait and croissant served by their very pleasant doing everything lady we texted our Airbnb hostess (working nearby) and arranged to meet her out front to say hello and get the key.

Siana our French hostess was absolutely delightful spoke French with my wife and gave us her key.

We hailed a quick cab and a very entertaining driver pulls over in his BMW 7 series and we were off to our new home in the 9th A Paris.

A week or so later we were wandering the streets and after finding La Ferme St. Hubert a frommagerie (cheese shop) closing until three for lunch (noon now) we continued through the neighborhood.  

There was the same Mac Do's!

Hungry we again entered the Le Regent cafe where we were recognized by our multi tasking madamme...impressive.

We ordered a carafe of red wine and cool water as well as their lasagne and poulet with penne pasta.  My wife's lasagne was generous and delicious and my penne was tasty (albeit warm not hot).  Our wine went along well.

So if you find yourself ascending from the Metro at Cadet do try our cafe say hi to our new friend make sure your pasta is hot.
