A Scot visiting Paris last weekend, a friend had recommended The Highlander.  I arrived at opening up, cold and hungry, but was given a warm welcome when the owner turned up.
Didn't get his name, but he is so friendly and had a good Blether.  He did a Tarot reading for me.

The croque Monsieur is delicious and a pint of The High lager was a thirst quencher.  Being a solo, female tourist, I felt comfortable being in a pub on my own. The other staff there were friendly.
I enjoyed my time there.

I totally recommend a visit to The Highlander.

Such a unique place in paris with the sweetest hosts! We love coming here for a bite and a game of pool.

With Scottish ancestry in my family, we wanted to surprise my grandparents (who don’t have much time left) with some haggis. The owner was kind enough to let us order and take some home in our own tupperware. The surprise was a total success: pure joy around the table that evening!

Good place for a pub quiz night – fun atmosphere and good energy. But on other days, it’s quite disappointing. The place smells bad, tables are sticky, and people smoke e-cigarettes inside without staff noticing (very annoying). The music can also be way too loud, making it impossible to have a conversation. If you’re coming, I’d recommend sticking to quiz nights! Still, stay away from the food.
