We stayed in a corner room with a canal view with my husband during the Christmas holiday. The hotel’s location is very central, and getting there from the airport is quite easy. There is a tram stop right in front of the hotel. Since we visited at the end of December, the weather was very cold, but our room was warm and spacious. On the floor above the ground level, there is a lobby with hot drinks, croissants, and a seating area. The hotel is located in the Nine Streets district, within walking distance of everywhere. There are great breakfast spots and shopping places nearby. After checking out, you can leave your luggage in the storage room and enjoy Amsterdam until the last moment.

An amazing hotel, the room I stayed in was amazing, with a great view. The staff was very friendly. The location was perfect, every main sight in walking distance and shops just outside. Perfect for anyone tourist traveling over for one night or more. Only issues was casting Netflix to TV and Thin walls, so could hear neighbours and trams outside but got used to that quick and added to the charm.

I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary there and the staff could not have made us more welcome. They were so friendly and professional and were a big part of making our stay so memorable. Our room was spacious with a super comfortable bed and the views were incredible, overlooking the rooftops of the city and the canals. We were lucky to have sunshine all week and saw some beautiful sunsets. The hotel is so central the tram stops right outside, the museums are within walking distance, so too is Vondelpark. There are so many great restaurants and cafes nearby. We will definitely be back!

The room had a great view of the canal! It was perfect for what we needed. It was clean and there was ample room for our luggage and for us to walk around. I enjoyed the breakfast options as well. The attendant was always very accommodating and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at Dikker & Thijs. The staff was accommodating of our early arrival- they are as professional as they are hospitable. The hotel is very centrally located and the rooms have everything a visitor needs. I highly recommend Dikker & Thijs to anyone visiting Amsterdam.
