The ambiance was great! To specifically eat pancakes i rather walk to Moak pancakes around the corner, since i prefer those. Nevertheless, the pancakes were good. Definitely going back to try other dishes and to enjoy the amazing service. Many businesses should take this as an example.

It was very busy. The waiters were in a rush, and I felt like they were trying to push everyone to eat quickly and leave. They were super nice and kind, but it seemed like someone instructed them to behave this way.

The quality of the food was good, but it lacked flavor. The eggs were excellent, but the overall dish was plain and basic in taste. The price-to-performance ratio was definitely poor—either the prices should be lower, or the dishes should be tastier. The drinks were also disappointing; they were bland and overly watery.

If I pay 40 percent less, then it will be worth it.

Returned to LOCALS after a great experience on a previous visit to Amsterdam. The coffee is outstanding (how do they get those chocolatey notes?!), the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the food hit the spot for us - clean tasting, real ingredients, and fresh. The whole place has a light and airy vibe. Thoroughly recommend it!

We enjoyed our time at the Locals a lot. And their waiting staff was super accommodating and friendly, so kudos to them!

Here are some points to keep in mind about their drink options:

The Bloody Mary had the right flavour, but it was bit too watery (most probably the tomato juice wasn’t thick enough). I would also ask if a person wants it (extra) spicy. Mine had a lot of Tabasco without even asking and I loved it, but I’m not sure if everybody has the same preference as me.

The strawberry matcha is definitely a hit, if you can justify a high price tag for a small matcha (that  can be gone in a few sips) with some jam at the bottom :)

The coffee had a slight  burnt taste, so if you are looking for a mild and smooth coffee  - better order it somewhere else.
