Last night, I dined at The Corner for the first time. I highly recommend booking a table, especially if you're coming with a large group, as it can get busy. I had trouble deciding what to order, so I asked a waiter for a recommendation. He suggested the medium-rare planked steak, which includes grilled beef fillet, mashed potatoes, bacon-wrapped asparagus, and tomato, served with béarnaise and pepper sauce. It’s the most expensive dish on the menu, but the waiter mentioned it’s also the most popular. I trusted his suggestion and paired it with a Trapiche Malbec red wine, which he recommended.

The planked steak was tender, flavorful, and well-marbled—a great choice. The mashed potatoes were grilled on the surface, giving them a nice texture and presentation, and the sauces complemented the dish nicely. The red wine paired well with the meal, making for a pleasant dining experience. For dessert, I had vanilla ice cream with warm cloudberries marinated in cognac. We sat inside, but you can also choose to sit outside under a tree in front of the restaurant. They asked us if we preferred indoor or outdoor seating when we arrived. The atmosphere inside is lively, with pleasant music that isn't too loud, making it easy to have a conversation.

Overall, I was satisfied with the food, service, and ambiance. I didn’t use the restroom, so I can’t comment on that. It was a wonderful evening, and I would definitely come back.

Had an amazing evening - great selection of drinks, great food and the staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Menu is in Swedish with English translations or staff will help. We had the steak and it was amazing, cooked to perfection and so tasty. Ambience is relaxed and cool, there is no hurry to leave so you can have a relaxed meal. Highly recommended.

What a great place to eat. There's a reason it's always packed. The staff is well trained and friendly, the owner is involved and obviously has his heart in it. Also most restaurants close their kitchen sharp 8pm whereas the owner here checks the guests first and keeps it open so people can get a bit. The food is excellent, we had 3 x dinner and one night of drinks. Especially liked all the beef!

The steak was cooked perfectly, the potato mousse had a few cold spots in the middle which was surprising on a plank steak.
I am guessing just a mistake and usually it works.
Cheesecake dessert tasted great.
Staff are very stony faced and could do with a course in learning to smile and at least appear friendly.
This is a very pricey pub restaurant but you will get a good meal and frankly there is very little competition in skellefteå so worth a trip when you can afford it.

Ordered the plankstek that is a tenderloin with mashed potatoes with peper sauce and beaneise sauce. It was perfect and I ordered it medium rare and it was spot on. Bit pricy but it was lot of meat so was worth it. Only thing that doesn't give it 5 stars is that it's stated as a restaurant but in fact it's a gastropub. Was some noisy pub crawl at the table beside so it was not peaceful as a restaurant.
