Easily the most famous Swiss Beer Hall in Zürich. Very similar to the traditional beer hall in Germany in that there are shared tables, traditional comfort food, quick service, and lots of great beer. We made reservations for our 7:30 dinner which I would recommend because the line for walk-ins was very long when we arrived. Inside is very large, it can host many different sized groups, you can easily find a group of a dozen or more at a table, but we were just a party of two and were sat at a table for 4 with another couple so there is a bit of awkwardness there, but it is nice to sit near other travelers. That is if they are in a talking mood or speak the same language. Our waiter was extremely polite and very helpful with the selections and pricing is also very fair.

To drink we had the house lager and it was very good. For our meal, we chose the Sausage Combo Plate and the Wienerschnitzel and honestly both were great. The Wienerschnitzel was especially tender and very large and I was able to eat every bite of it because it was that good. The sausages were also very crisp and tasty and we honestly really enjoyed our meal.

It is true that this place is very touristy, but it is also very authentic, traditional Swiss food, but reminds me of Germany most of all and is very similar to the beer halls that we visited in Munich. I would definitely recommend to any traveler to try this place at least once while in town.

My friend booked this a must-try Swiss food restaurant and it did not disappoint! The place was fully booked and the staffs were very friendly too. Highball recommended for anyone who visiting Zurich

A tourist trap that is definitely worth it! Delicious traditional food. While there is typically a line and wait to be seated, unless you have a reservation, once seated service is super fast. Ambiance is casual, and a lot of tables are "communal," so be prepared to sit next to strangers, in the end it adds to the exciting vibe of the restaurant.

Zeughauskeller@Zurich offers a delightful Swiss dining experience. We tried the pork knuckle, which was crispy on the outside and tender inside—absolutely delicious. The beer complemented the meal perfectly. We visited during dinner in June and were glad we made a reservation in advance, as there was a long queue. The space was cramped and crowded, but the warm lighting added charm to the lively atmosphere. Despite the busyness, the staff were efficient, and meals were served quickly. Overall, a great experience at a classic Swiss restaurant!

Old old building previously was a weapons storage but since then converted into a German beer hall themed restaurant. I found it quite fun. Thick sturdy tables and chairs. Mostly arranged close together. When full, the din of conversations and boisterous atmosphere is one of its kind.

Salad was light and refreshing with fresh ingredients and a perfect way to start the meal. Pork knuckle was the main dish. I absolutely loved it. Generous for a mid sized tummy, tender meat all the way with similar meat consistency from the surface to the inner part. Incredibly well marinated and flavoured. The included potato side dish was a good complement to the meat and absorbed the gravy and oil perfectly.

Dessert was simple, sweet and good palate cleanser from all the oil in the pork knuckle. The beer was exceptional. Cold, delicious and the best liquid to wash down the heavy yummy meal.
