After a long day of walking around London, we found our way back to Camden Town and were starved. And it was 10 p.m. A bag of crisps wasn't gonna cut it. Enter Istanbul. Kebabs? Sure!

But let me tell you...this is SO much more than just another kebab shop! I wish I could tell you what we ordered, but I can't. Mine was a stewed lamb atop hot bits of pita and slathered in their house sauce (like sour cream.) Oh good lawd IT WAS SO GOOD! Also equally delish was the hummus and pita.

Service was super, food was amazing. Do yourself a favor and visit! I wish we were locals so we could eat our way through the entire menu.

P.S. They do Uber Eats/new delivery if that's more convenient for you!

OMG! So much food.

Between the 2 of us, we ordered 1 main course (iskander kebab) and 3 starters (sausages, imam bayildi - stuffed aubergine and falafel). The food was all super tasty, but we had so much leftover! Both of us had skipped lunch and were having early dinner, but we barely put a dent on the amount of food that arrived.

As soon as we ordered, we were brought Turkish style bread lovingly buttered and 4 different dips (hummus, minty yoghurt, cheese and a tomato one). This itself would have been a sufficient meal for us both.

The falafel came settled on a bowl of hummus. The side salad with the main arrived in a plate of its own. 

Service was very fast and the lady serving us was lovely as were the line of chefs we passed by on our way in and out.

When you peep through he window, it looks like a tiny kebab place, but they have really comfortable seating at the back.

Some of the other places we wanted to eat at in Camden on a Friday night were completely full, so we entered this place on a whim, but left completely dated and satisfied.

From the outside this place looks like a normal kebab take away, but there's a little restaurant at the back. It's a little bit no frills but comfortable and clean. 

There's a pretty decent selection of mezze both hot and cold and then some Main's mostly from the grill but a few cooked dishes also. I didn't look in great detail but there seemed to be all the favorite options you would expect.

We went for a couple of cold starter; hummus, aubergine and a hot starter of Falafel's (which are served on hummus also) these come with some warm pita bread. For main we had a a chicken shish and lamb shish, we opted for a smaller portion which was a good idea for the amount we ordered. The food was pretty tasty, certainly no complaints were made while we tried our best to get through it all.

The final bill came to £35 with a alcoholic drink, over all a pretty decent find for sit down Turkish food.

I love this place. Never fails me! Get the stews and the grills. Generous portions and super tasty. Having the Chicken Shish now and tearing because it's just so good.

While the decor in this restaurant is very simple, the food is NOT. We had a chicken stew like none I've ever had before. A generous portion of very, very flavorful chicken, literally falling off the bone from slow cooking, was complimented with potatoes and vegetables cooked to perfection. This was served with two different kinds of rice, both delicious, and a lovely salad. A substantial portion of very good pita bread was provided at no extra charge. Virtually lunch for two people. £10. Excellent service at no extra charge. Highly recommended!!

This was a great find for lunch. Lots of choices for everyone. The portions were generous.
