Wow.. A fantastic experience and opportunity to connect with the history of the City. Amphitheatre incredible, galleries great and workshops wonderful. A memorable day out and free!

A lovely small gallery with some excellent paintings. It repays frequent re-visits and never seems too busy. It hosts visiting exhibitions that are interesting  and, as a bonus, has the remains of a Roman amphitheatre in the basement. Has a cloakroom and lockers for bags so visits can be unencumbered by coats and backpacks. Highly recommended. FREE!

Guildhall is an impressive and historic building in the heart of London. The architecture is stunning, with a mix of medieval and modern styles that give it a unique charm. Inside, the Great Hall is absolutely breathtaking, with its high vaulted ceiling and stunning stained glass windows. It’s incredible to think about the history that’s taken place here, from royal banquets to major events in London's past. I really enjoyed exploring the surrounding area too, with its mix of old and new London. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re into history or architecture!

Enjoyed meeting Florrie the Freedom Sheep at this amazing and ancient institution.

We were treated in a very special way for the Freedom ceremony, and given a guided tour of the greatest autograph book in the world AKA the register.
Also some extraordinary items, including the surrender sword given to Nelson at the Battle of the Nile, and a bust of the Duke of Wellington.

It’s apparently been a part of London life since the 1200s, and remains an incredible part of British society

Great art a d activities for kids on the first floor. The Roman amphitheatre ruins are interesting and good to understand the history but more aimed at adults than  something to hold or capture kids attention  which was suprising given how accessible the rest of the museum was for them.
Very pleasant way to spend and hour in  Central London.
