From 1 to 5 honestly this place deserves up to 10!
Quality and fresh ingredients are reflected in all the dishes on the menu as well as in the desserts. The food is delicious, all the dishes are so good and it’s hard to decide what to order ..
The place is clean and cozy, the staff is nice and friendly and makes you feel like at home . In Pastan there is always creates a pleasant atmosphere. Quality vegan cuisine open to everyone, whether you are vegan or not, you will be satisfied. Highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had been looking forward to dining at Pastan Barbican for three years, but my experience was completely ruined by unprofessional, disrespectful, and hostile treatment from a staff member—who I later learned was the co-owner, Dean.

During our meal, we used a small, discreet light to take food photos without disturbing anyone. Despite this, we were subjected to repeated hostile stares before Dean marched over to our table and aggressively accused us of being disrespectful to everyone in the restaurant. No introduction, no polite conversation—just pure confrontation. The table next to us was equally shocked, reassuring us that we had done nothing wrong and that Dean’s behavior was the real disruption.

To make matters worse, he continued staring at us throughout the meal, making us feel incredibly uncomfortable and unwelcome. This is appalling behavior for any staff member, let alone a co-owner.

The only saving grace was our amazing waiter (an American gentleman) who was warm, welcoming, and provided excellent service—something Dean should learn from.

To be fair, the food was fantastic. The truffle carbonara and donuts were exceptional. But no meal is worth being publicly humiliated and disrespected by an establishment that clearly doesn’t value its customers.

I emailed a formal complaint on February 14th and never received a response—further proof that Pastan has zero regard for customer feedback. If this is how they treat paying guests, they don’t deserve the support of the dining community.

For context, I have uploaded over 1,200 photos on Google Maps, with 17 million views, and have never encountered an issue like this before. My review history also speaks for itself—I am not someone who leaves negative reviews lightly. This experience, however, was so unacceptable that it had to be shared.

I will never return and do not recommend this place to anyone who values good hospitality.

Pastan is the best. Cute little spot and the food is so delicious. I'm not even Vegan but I love everything they do and I keep going back for more.

A wonderful dining experience - date night dinner. We went through some of the selection, 6 dishes between us, all were delicious! The starters just the right amount, though we could have eaten double of those! Simple and wholesome ingredients, layered flavour with depth, although we couldn't taste any truffle elements on the mini mushroom raviolis - suggest they could add extra (or was possibly just missing). Loaded Gnocchi with pomodoro was super yummy. Onto the mains, generous large portions, scoffed through the spicy Paella with multiple flavours - ultra umami, and decadent spinach & cream Torteloni (7 large pieces). Indulged into a nice selection of ice-cream gelato combination and delicious hot biscoff mini doughnuts!
So satisfied, I went to sleep with a happy tummy that night.
They had wonderful attentive staff, lovely energy all around from them, and great service with food coming in quickly.
Italian menu with an effort of flavours! Will be back for more in the future :)

We had a delicious lunch here a couple of days back! Our waiter was very kind and helpful. The spaghetti carbonara was absolutely delicious!!
We will definitely be back to try the donuts.
