Great fish and chips, we've been back to this place 3 or 4 times and they were great every time!!

When choosing a fish & chips stop, one might say there are plenty of options & not all of them are equal. There was a moment of panic as we stood on the sidewalk trying to decide which door to open. Then something magical happened. A food delivery service grabbed a to-go order here, then another did. Then 3 people from the hospital staff walked by two other fish places & entered here. Another to-go-order pick up. A group of what appeared to be local suits went in. 
OK, I can read the universal  signs... in we went

An understated eatery with an uncomplicated menu & partial table service for dine-in, counter service for take out. Easy enough, we sit, we order within minutes & are presented plates of glorious, golden-fried tender, cod with crisp chips. 
These aren't stingy portions, clean oil was used & it was clearly fried at the correct temp, to the correct temp. The coating was crunchy & the flavors clean - I love it when I can say my fish wasn't fishy.

After dining, you head to the counter, tell them what you ate & they ring you out. Don't expect check-ins from wait staff. It's more of a system to keep the orders flowing that true table service.

If you have time to kill before or after paddington, certainly worth a stop for a satisfying and oddly  ot-too-fheavy, despite being fried, fish & chips.

No frills dive , but definitely stop if you have a craving for fish n chips. You will not be disappointed & portions are large. I will be back.

This was great!  The waitstaff were extremely friendly.  We couldn't decide between kebab or fish and chips, so we found a place that had both!  My mom had the kebab and I had the fish and chips and both were awesome!  (Although, I would recommend the kebab over the fish and chips).

The hummus and falafel here was delicious and tasted different from the ones in the US. I got the fish burger, which was crispy and tasty. My friend got the lamb doner, which she said was salty but good. Portions are quite large and they serve you Turkish bread on the side, which was freshly baked and so fluffy! The cooks and servers were also very friendly! Definitely recommend this place for a quick and satisfying bite.

Found this place on Yelp and it's just a quick walk from my hostel.  I was lured in by the pictures. The salad and chicken looked fresh, so i ordered the chicken Donar.  Sliced chicken from the spit, rice or chips and salad. Light, fresh, healthy & tasty. Food came out quickly. 

One thing - I wanted a small but there is only one size to sit in to eat.  Small price difference but still under $10. 

3 dipping sauces.  Thick and tender pita bread, chargrilled.  

They also have lamb on the spit but i like mine cooked a little more than was available and i didn't want to wait.

Micky's is a nice little take away and restaurant on Edgware Road. I do not eat too much kebab, but I tried a few kebabs in London and did not like most of them. One day I sampled the lamb döner kebab at Micky's and was surprised how delicious it was. The fries are just average, but the lamb kebab is really very good. Without question, this is the best döner kebab place in London I know.  

They also do Iskender, a great kebab dish that I have not seen on too many menus in London before. Although I do not know, what the white sauce adds to their Iskender, it is tasty treat if you like a good kebab.  

I live not far from Micky's and since I noticed how good their food is, from time to time I go there for a quick snack. It is not the most beautiful restaurant, but it is alright and the staff are very friendly. They are open relatively late and in my opinion are one of the best food shops on Edgware Road.

Short distance from Hilton Metropole so decided to have dinner here. On arrival, daughter not happy with my choice of this establishment. Decided to check out the neighborhood to see if another restaurant she would approve. After some distance, she didn't find anything so decided to head back to Micky's for dinner. Ordered the Islander, lamb shish, chicken shish and hummus. Quantity and quality was surprisingly good. After dinner, daughter was happy with my choice.

Very nice place to eat and drink and the owner was very pleasant as was his wait staff. 
The mixed platter had a serving of everything and it was great for my family of 2 adults and 2 kids. It looks like one of the better places for a meal in the area so don't hunt around too much, you won't go wrong with the food here

His name is Ozi and can't spell the waitress' name. Had the fish and chips, and it was way different from the USA. I'll be looking for an English restaurant as well! Good.
