Plates was hands down my top restaurant of 2024! The menu is unbelievably tasty and I was more than satisfied after having seven incredible dishes. Kirk and his team have absolutely nailed it, from the food to the concept, interior, and overall vibe. Every single dish blew me away (and I’m not even vegan). It’s such a standout experience for a great price—I can’t recommend it enough (I’d even come on my own).

There are so many things to say about this TOP CLASS small restaurant. From the minute we walked in this small, cosy, warmly decorated space the vibes were great.
All the staff were so charming. Front of house led by Jono were so attentive. The kitchen led by Kirk and his team produced the most delicious 8 course Vegan menu.

What an amazing place!  From the moment we walked to through the door till the time we left, we were in just awe. The food of course, is outstanding.  It was fantastic to try the dishes we saw on Great British Menu to see why the minds of the judges were so blown by it all.  The attentive team and vibe makes it the most magical memory and a great way to celebrate and have a meal we will cherish for the rest of our lives.  Thank you to the whole team, your attention to detail and your care and genuine passion to provide an amazing customer experience is second to none.  A HUGE shout out to the genius mind and creativity of Kirk, what an amazing human being, very humble and gave time to chat and interact with customers.  We are so proud of your achievement's and wish you nothing but the very best going forward with your ventures.  Looking forward to the next menu we can try. Thank you so much.

Kirk’s passion for cooking and his amazing flavour combinations make enjoying vegan food a breeze!  An amazing wine list too with a clear emphasis on organic wines and the non alcoholic drinks pairing was a true experience too. We were lucky to have a table at the Chef’s counter which made it all the more special and it did also allow us the opportunity to chat with Kirk at the end of service and hear about some of his future plans. Absolutely worthy of a 5* review.

Words can hardly capture my experience at Plates. Every dish was thoughtfully crafted to take you on a sensory journey, each element perfected. The flavours, textures, and presentation were sublime!! Kirk’s dedication is evident in every detail, from the mastery of each dish to the stunning atmosphere of the restaurant, with carefully chosen decor and tableware to enhance the experience.
