A Truly Immersive Outdoor Experience!

Urban Outdoor Adventure Forest School has been an incredible experience for my daughter—she absolutely loves going after school! Every Thursday, she comes home excited to share the new outdoor skills she’s learned; from making dens, fire-building, treasure hunts, clay work, obstacle climbing and nature exploration. It’s amazing to see her confidence grow in such a hands-on, adventurous environment.

No matter the season, the kids are immersed in nature, whether they’re climbing trees, toasting marshmallows, or learning how to work together in the outdoors. Rain or shine, the program embraces the elements, making every session a unique and exciting experience.

Nina is a fantastic leader, creating a welcoming and engaging space for all the kids. The entire staff are incredibly kind, responsible, and dedicated to making sure each child feels safe and empowered. It’s rare to find a program that combines outdoor education with such a strong sense of community, and I couldn’t be happier that my daughter gets to be a part of it.

We love the after school forest club with Nina and colleagues. My 4.5yo daughter is always excited to go and comes home with crafted goodies and new skills each week. I like the fact it’s true outdoor skills, whittling, fire making, and slack-lining to mention a few, and I like that there is a combination of games, outdoor skills, natural craft and free play so my child can burn off her energy whilst still learning new things. Nina is great at what she does, she has a great manner with the children and leads them with tools and activities that teach risk assessment early on. I feel confident she has an eye on safety whilst still allowing children freedom of play and exploration, it is a real skill in a leader. Highly recommend!

My daughter loves her outdoor adventures after school. It’s wonderful to see the handmade projects they do each week. Very creative and nature focused which feels so important

My often reserved and cautious daughter had the most brilliant and freeing time during the summer camp this week with Urban Outdoors. The list of her new skills along with a genuine growth in her confidence was incredible to see and hear about. They clearly created a welcoming and caring environment. Very highly recommend this forest school!

My son absolutely LOVES his after school forest group and looks forward to it all week. Picking him up afterwards there's all these relaxed, happy, excited, proud kids - often muddy, sometimes eating s'mores they've just made, but just so happy. It's a different energy to other pickups- I just know he's had a really brilliant time. And had his curiosity met. They learn great stuff and my son (4 and half) tells me about certain plants in the park we can make tea out of and he's made a little clay bowl and can tell me about building a fire, safely cooking marshmallows, building a shelter. My kiddo also did 2 days of summer camp on the heath and loved that too. A new environment can be intense but he came out more relaxed and so tired after a gorgeous few days of fresh air. I really can't recommend these classes enough. Nina is so fantastic and my son adores her. She's calm and passionate about what she's sharing with the kids.
