FAB freshly made sandwiches with really tasty fillings on offer. Great prices for a central London establishment. Lovely local business - salad boxes & jacket potatoes, too!

This place is good if you want a freshly prepared baguette. I've always found the food to be very tasty - much better than the pre-prepared bland ciabattas at the Madeira cafe (cnr Albert Embankment & Glasshouse Walk).


 Other options in the area there's the Zeitgeist pub if you fancy a German meal, Madeira cafe on Albert Embankment, Italia cafe on Kennington Lane (see if you can spot the furtive MI6 workers from the next building along towards the station) or Tesco.


 It's a shame (in common with other places like Cafe Italia & the Black Dog) that it's not open on weekends.

Visited Porters last week for the first time, can definitely say I will be back! My lunch was spot on and the prices was extremely reasonable! I couldn't help noticing how clean and well presented the shop was. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!!

I happened to be in the area and stumbled on this super sandwich bar but it's so good it's worth travelling to. The widest selection of bulging sandwiches, wraps, and baggettes etc all freshly made in front of you by the most delightful staff. The place is clean and prices are reasonable. There's a park close by with picnic benches.

I work in the area and am forced to use this sandwich bar but it's not worth travelling to. The slimest selection of addmittedly bulging sandwiches, no wraps, and decidedly non-French baggettes etc all freshly made in front of you by the mostly delightful staff. Service vears from great to surley. As an almost daily visitor to this establishment I was shocked that the christmas chear involved me giving them yet more money in a tip box. Where was my mince pie?
