Just over the road from where I liv so super handy. Often pop in when I can't be bothered to cook. Very friendly staff and a quirky liking place. Nice when they have their double doors open on a hot day. Food is nice and comes up in big portions, it's also cooked and served very quick. They also do a breakfast in the morning which I'm yet to try but going by how busy it is I'm guessing it's good.

So gentrification has hit Hornsey Road - I mean, we all knew Stroud Green was a lost cause but who knew Hornsey would get there that quickly?

Regardless of whether that depresses you or not, you can't deny that Rusty Bike is a nice addition to a bit of restaurant-desolate road. The service is a tad haphazard but they're definitely improving.

I've only brunch'ed here so far and it's been delicious - the eggs Mediterranean is a personal fave. Hollandaise sauce but with the twist of spicy sausage. Totally delicious. Have been a few times with various people and no one has had a bad meal yet. Reasonable prices, and the ability to open the front up to let in the sunshine and the...ambiance...of Hornsey Road also makes this a nice place to chill for an hour or so.

Very happy having this on my doorstep and plan to grace it all the time.

Fab new place. They make it look like the portions are small on the menu but they're  actually a decent size. Recommend the coffee (especially mocha - see my profile picture). The only thing I would say is that it's a little crowded and the music was too loud when we were there this morning.
