We love going to the Gun for Sunday lunch - it's become a tradition for us over the years.
We get the roast chicken to share, with veggies, Yorkshire puddings, gravy, bread sauce etc etc and its always a treat. The roast beef and the pork are also recommended.
Service is always decent, the atmosphere is nice and if you can get a seat in front of the fire in the snug, its a great place to hang out for an hour or two after lunch.

Very nice gastro pub for a Sunday roast!

As starters I shared a steak tartare and a rarebit which were both tasty while for main I had the pork loin roast which was also good. The loin was a pretty big piece and also all the toppings were tasty and quite a lot. The Yorkshire pudding was particularly good as well.

The place itself is nice and cozy and service is very good and friendly.

We had a nice stroll from Blackwall DLR to check this place out, and were delighted to find this gem. We had a nice lunch with hammock terrine, chicken schnitzel, and fish & chips followed by delicious berry desserts (see photos). While the main dishes were okay - definitely ask for the malt vinegar and lemon - the desserts were far more impressive and made with extra care. 

Considering you have an unobstructed view of the Thames and we got to savor a warm London afternoon here on a patio, I'd give this place more of my business in the future. The service was good, but I would come back for the view and desserts (and drinks) alone.

Fabulous real pub vibe in a cool riverside setting. Great food too!

Super friendly service, decent food, and a great view of the river and the O2. This place got me into a Wikipedia hole about the Napoleonic Wars, Nelson's mistress, and serving foods in aspic and calling them terrine to sound fancy. They basically serve a dead animal collection jello and make it sound good... so that's pretty impressive.

Delightful location right on the Thames. Delicious food (not your average pub grub for sure!). Good selection of ales, and a full bar (some yummy Scotch selections available). Servers seemed a little unsure of the menu/offerings when we last visited, but we will be back!

Long overdue review but a memorable experience (although I can't comment on the food). My friends lived down the road from this pub and I had to work one weekend afternoon, so I came here (free wifi woo!). It's bright/sunny during the day, and very charming on the inside with leather and wood chairs and decor, etc. I had a cappuccino to start and as the pub transformed into a dimmer evening space, I had a glass of wine (and people watched). The staff was wonderful and very accommodating of my working needs; I never felt pressured to leave despite my minimal spend. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll def stop by here again.

Wonderful place to have sunday roast and what a fabulous view of the docklands. Ample seating indoor and outdoor. Book for a table ahead of time.

Awesome little tavern with great food. 

Only reason for 4 stars is the service was slow and inattentive. 

They have a gazpacho that is to die for!

The pork belly was also amazing. You can't go wrong with the food! Enjoy!
