Great food! Classic fish and chips, great local beers. The fish was crispy and the mashed green peas were an excellent delight. Kid friendly on the top floor and both kids gobbled up their meals. Also ordered the chicken burger which came with bacon and avocado, very refreshing.

Popped in here for a quick pint after dinner at the amazing Gordon's. The service is good as is the vibe. You get quite the mix of locals here - busy business people as well as casual passers by. All that is expected in the heart of London. 

Oh, and they have Amstel on tap. Real Amstel. A must have when traveling overseas.

We arrived in London on a Sunday about 3pm, starving. We knew we had missed Sunday Roast hour, so we headed to this pub, knowing we could probably get a steak pie. They did have a nice selection of meat pies, which were tasty. Being American, I did have to salt basically everything I ate, but that's my own problem  .  We ate upstairs, which gave us a nice view of the street below, but the pub was relatively quiet given the day and time.

I only stayed briefly to have a pint in honor of dear Catherine (though I'm pretty sure it was named after Queen Alexandra), so I don't have much to say. But it was a very nice, albeit brief, experience.

My mom has a gluten allergy and Kai took such good care of her. He went back and forth from the kitchen many times to check with the chef. He explained everything so well so she understood everything. He showed her a list of the ingredients so she knew exactly what was in her order. We appreciated him so much. The food was also delicious!!

We waited 25 min for simple water. Asked the waitress twice for our water. Meanwhile alcoholic drinks were passed to customers who arrived after us. We finally told the waitress we wanted to leave. The manager came around and reassured us that our food was about to come out and he would get our drinks asap. The manager was super nice, but our waitress, not so great. Food was overall fine. Service was just very lacking.

I met up with a friend here around 18:30 on a Monday night. It was very crowded - though much less crowded by 20:00. 

There are about 10 beers on draft. They were generous to let me taste a few. They did carry a few IPAs. 

At 19:45, they went around asking all of us to switch our beers into plastic cups, which was a little awkward but easy enough to do.

Of course I had to try the fish and chips. I've currently tried 3 different fish and chip places in London and so far this one was the best. Great, patient service as well.

Located steps away from the busy Embarkment train station is Princess Of Wales. I am honestly shocked that this place has 2.5 stars because I had a really nice experience here. I ordered the Pie Trio which consisted of pulled beef, Shepard's pie and chicken Balti. All 3 pies were delicious, flaky, crispy and very tasty. My personal favorite was the pulled beef. I also ordered a burger/fries and beer on tap. I can truly say that everything tasted good, the service was on point and the price was right. I didn't read thru to see what other people's experiences were but I definitely enjoyed my meal at Princess Of Wales.

My wife and I were in London on vacation and you have to try a pub for a beer every once in awhile. The only complaint I have with British pubs is that that don't have American style IPAs. I asked a friend that lived there for 6 months, "Why not the move to IPAs?, These guys invented it" He replied that Brits drink in sessions after work and have lower alcohol levels.

This place was cool, but it was very hum-drum as a pub. A fun place to try as a tourist.
