Jag gick till middag och åtnjöt varje bit av min rökt lax aptitretare och Short rib risotto. Delarna är bra och maten kryddas väl. Jag önskar att de skulle utöka söndagsbrunch till 3 eller 4 s. m. Jag gick på en söndag eftermiddag och ville ha brunch. Brunch slutade och 2 sidor. m. och jag satt vid 2 sid. m. När jag frågade om jag kunde beställa från brunch-menyn fick jag höra att brunch slutade på 2 s. m. och det var 2 sid. m. . . . . sorrrryyyyy.

Jag blev lite förvånad och besviken över att jag inte erbjöds beställning från brunch-menyn, även om det skulle ha gått några minuter efter två när jag skulle ha beställt. Självklart stannade jag inte och fann en restaurang som serverade frukost / brunch-artiklar hela dagen.

Maten var i bästa fall genomsnittlig. De hade ett stort utbud av rätter (och vår vuxna familj beställde allt annat), men ingen vid vårt bord "gormade" om maten de beställde. Tjänsten var sub - par. Visst var vi där på en college fotboll lördag kväll, men restaurangen borde ha förväntat det. De skulle inte låta ett parti av 6 göra reservationer. Om du bor på ett motell i centrum kan du komma dit genom att gå genom Sky walk-systemet. OBS: Det pågick en del konstruktion på Sky Walk, så vi hamnade utanför de två sista blocken.

Vi skulle inte gå tillbaka en andra gång.

Efter vår konferens tog vi en kort promenad till "Nyhetsrummet" för att koppla av, äta och dricka tills det var dags att åka till flygplatsen den kvällen. Vi hade en fantastisk servitör och bra mat. Jag hade Kalifornien Panini och en kopp pommes frites (utmärkt) och min vän hade hamburgaren med rostade paprika (livet förändras!). Vi blev högt och hade bara en blast. Tack till den vänliga personalen!

Besökte nyhetsrummet för lunch under en affärsresa. Restaurangen har en stor sittgrupp så vi sitter direkt. Det var många olika för alla att välja mellan.

Utmärkt omelett med portobello, grillad lök, spenat och avokado. Krispiga potatiskantar, mjuk insida och fullkornsrostat bröd med läckra hemlagad sylt. Varje maträtt var utmärkt, kaffe var fantastiskt, och vi satt utanför och tittade på förbipasserande. Också - prisvärda i centrala Minneapolis!

Lätt tillbaka och avslappnad matsal atmosfär. Mat var bra natten vi åkte (på en tisdag kväll)
Bra ställe för något tillfälle eller möte. Maten var riktigt bra och var allt färskt. Laxen var vilt fångad Atlanten och båda rätterna både varma och kalla (sallad entree) från människor vid vårt bord var läckra. Pasta smakade som om de fick det från en pasta maker (hemlagad) och inte ur en låda! Enda nackdelen var att jag beställde pastarätter som hade lax och medan jag kunde se laxbitarna kände jag att det kunde ha varit några få ounce i skålen. Förrätt av stekt Brie med blåbär ketchup var mycket unik och smakade mycket bra. Något som skiljer sig från samma gamla sak! Tjänsten var också bra. Pris poäng var bra och inte alltför prissatta. Vi skulle gå tillbaka dit.

Kvinna och jag stannade i för happy hour. Plattbröd var en imponerande storlek för priset och vår servitör var fantastisk. Happy hour öl, men inte det mest robusta valet, var mycket bra.

Vingarna var bra, men inget att skriva om. Imponerad av hur mycket sittplatser var tillgängliga

Tre familjer efter en påskservice åtnjöt sevärdheter och dofter av The News Room - allt till vår tillfredsställelse. Aptitretare var välkomna & bra; delar vi sizable; barnen åtnjöt sina måltider med "drycker" runt. Det är nyheterna!

Stannade till middag medan i stan för finalen 4 festivalen. Min man och jag delade blomkål aptitretare som var utmärkt. Jag hade fläskhalsen. Det var tillagad till perfektion och hade utmärkt smak. Min man hade jambalaya och tyckte att det var mycket bra. Vår server var mycket uppmärksam. Vi älskade atmosfären och kommer definitivt att vara tillbaka igen!

Maten och servicen var ok, men inget över det vanliga. Tycker även priserna ligger lite högt för att vara en medelklass restaurang.

På företag och mitt hotell rekommenderade denna plats. Tjänsten var extremt hemskt. Den unga damen tog min order och bara bryr mig om att få mig min check. Hon gick flera gånger och väntade på bord runt mig men slutade inte en gång för att fråga om jag behövde något.

Laxpasta var otäck. Inte mycket lax men gott om cappers och lök.

Slösa inte bort din tid. Det är allt hype!

Vi slutade för middag förväntar oss en positiv middagsupplevelse och var mycket besvikna. Restaurangen var inte upptagen, men vi väntade att sitta för en tid eftersom det fanns ingen sittplatser gäster. En gång satt vi väntat väl över 10 minuter för vår server. Vi beställde drycker och servern tog ytterligare 10 minuter att ta med våra drycker. Då bestämde vi oss för att inte beställa middag, avsluta dryckerna och äta någon annanstans.

Vi kom bara in här till frukost innan vi började hemma och jag tror att vi kanske har missat det här. Frukosten var bra och tjänsten mycket bra. Interiören var väldigt smart.
Det hammades på fredagskvällen så mycket så att vi gick någon annanstans, om vi gick tillbaka skulle vi ge den här platsen ett steg.

Bra natt att sitta ute och njuta av god mat, goda vänner och lite drycker. Älskade atmosfären och inredningen av inredningen. Tjänsten var stor och maten var så bra. Försökte en av de bästa biffar jag har haft på länge. De har några många bra alternativ. Sedan jag gick med en stor grupp vänner kunde jag få en smak av mnay av sina rätter. . . ??. Älska mermaidbaren. Detta är ett måste stoppa och försök när i Minneapolis! ! ! !

This place was pretty incredible. The drinks were fantastic and the food was excellent. We were warned when we were seated (immediately and without a reservation on a busy night) that they were "slow this evening". If this was slow then I didn't notice. 

I never leave reviews (check my profile) but this place deserves a good one.

A few friends and I popped into The News Room for a few drinks while walking around downtown Minneapolis.

The decor inside was what drew us in. There was a mermaid, big sailboat with ropes hanging down, a giant newspaper wall and newspaper roll hanging from the ceiling.

I liked all the decor individually by itself, but the seafaring boat/mermaid decor was a little disparate with the newspaper designs. 

We were there for drinks though, and not only for the decor. 

They had a lot of different drinks and brews available, but unfortunately not a lot of "lighter" drinks for people who don't like heavy or hoppy beers or hard liquor. 

I found one beer that seemed lighter (an EPA), but even that was pretty heavy. That may be other's favorite, it just wasn't mine. 

The staff were great and very knowledgeable, so no complaints there.

We didn't try any food, since we were just there for drinks, but the menu looked pretty expensive, so take a look at that if you're wanting to stop in for more than a pint. 

The News Room is a cute establishment with a sort of indistinct theme and not for the light beer drinkers. 

I would go back to try it again, as it appears they change the drinks on offer seasonally, so maybe I'll find something I like next time!

This place is exactly what you'd expect of it; A solid bar with decent food.

It's actually surprising how broad the menu is. You'd think they might be able to tighten the food offering and increase the quality of the output by limiting it a bit more, but honestly we couldn't complain. We came after a long day of meetings and appreciated the large drink menu that allowed everyone to get exactly what they wanted. Three of us got burgers which were executed well and one of us got the Jambalaya which maybe was a stretch assignment.

The waitstaff were attentive but there's definitely room for improvement.

Came for a quick salad and appetizer! Was super good! My best friend got the steak salad and I got the Korean bbq tacos. Super super good! Friend got a sangria and I got the raspberry mojito. The vibe itself is cool too and the server was awesome. I would definitely check it out.

I don't know why the reviews aren't higher! After dropping off my rental car at Budget, I was looking for a place to have a cocktail. I almost didn't come here because of the reviews but I'm SO glad I did! The restaurant was empty so the host was able to offer me seating options. I chose to sit inside as it was cooler. I had a raspberry mojito, which was sweet and the alcohol didn't overpower the raspberry flavor. For my entree, I had the shrimp tacos and appreciated that they were able to grill rather than deep fry the shrimp. I loved the sweet sauce and would go as far to say they were the best shrimp tacos I had. Waiter was friendly, efficient, and gave me time to review the menu. Prices were reasonable. If you're looking for a place with fun cocktails and tasty food in downtown Minneapolis, look no further!

Everything! From the local dry cider, the Irish Coffee, and Pepsi products... to the Brie Curds with Blueberry Ketchup... to the 8-ounce Flat Iron Steak with added shrimp skewers, both blackened by request, the Jambalaya, and the Pesto Tortellini... with the Raspberry Mojito.

This was our first visit, as out-of-towners, but we will most certainly return before we must leave the area in a few days.

Absolutely stellar! Everything was hot, fresh and perfectly done! 
Molly is an excellent server and I'm so glad I found this absolute GEM! My only regret is not coming with more people so I could try more things.
Patio is lovely with gorgeous plants!

We went in for a drink after going to the theater at around 9:45 pmz Their kitchen was closed but the bar was open. We had the loon juice and the raspberry mojito. The mojito was DELICIOUS and had fresh fruit in there.

The bartender was friendly. They climb the ship's ladder to get bottles which is cool! The host had a great playlist going while we were there and we really enjoyed it.

This was a solid choice close to our Downtown hotel. Very spacious restaurant. Friendly service and everyone liked the food. I got the cajun salmon penne and it was very good. Just the right level of spice. The desserts were just OK but I did hear the ice cream was very good.
