Made a reservation for Dear Irving for drinks and small plates before a Broadway show on a Friday evening for its ideal walking distance and views. First impressions were off-putting as the security guard told us the restaurant would not open for an hour after our reservation time and we would not be let up unless the host of the restaurant let us up. The security guard attempted to ask someone that worked in the restaurant to confirm what time they opened and he just shrugged and walked away. Since there's no phone number available, we waited in the lobby for 25 minutes, beyond when our reservation time was to start, until the hostess showed up and finally let us into the elevator. Not only was this a bad start to the night but these instructions should be explained on the site (and on Resy). Once finally upstairs, the space is beautiful and the views are lovely. The menu is very limited but good for a quick bite, especially to share. We split the sliders, guac, and mushroom croquettes which were more than enough for two people. Drinks were fine but nothing to rave about. You're definitely coming for the view!

Great creative cocktails with an amazing view! The back part of the bar was closed off for a private event so we didn’t get to see the view from there which we were sad about, it would have been nice to know in advance when we booked! The space is also much smaller than it looks on the photos on social media. Otherwise great experience, atmosphere and service!

Such a beautiful roof top bar that has views on both sides of the building! The service was nice and we loved being able to go back and forth from our table to outside to enjoy the view
There were 6 of us so we made reservations a few days prior and had no problems getting up there

This is now one of my favorites places to go for a good cocktails. Located in the 40th floor of the Aliz Hotel. Has a double side view of the city and the atmosphere is very good late night. Kitchen close at 11:00pm. Keep that in mind if you’re going with hungry. I definitely will go again.

Very well decorated, perfect rooftop with charming cocktails. There is a 007 theme inside. Tables are well separated. Rooftop is located on 40th floor. I highly recommend resevation before. Cocktails are very good and has fair price when compared to other rooftops.
