Small island, away from city noise. One can either walk in the forest or take a bicycle. It is a good 2-3 hours of cycling inside the island. Neat, clean and peaceful place. Amazing experience. Must visit for anyone in Singapore and want to spend time away from city.

It’s nice to escape the city and catching the bum boats across to the island is different but overall the place left us underwhelmed.
We decided to walk to Chek Jawa Wetlands rather than rent a bike and the walk was fine but a bit uninspiring - very little wildlife other than some water monitors, butterflies and the odd bird.
Might be more to the island but it was a one time experience for us.

A small island off of Singapore. You can easily get there through Ferry and it costs about 8 Singaporean Dollars Roundtrip .

The island is pretty decent in size.  I HIGHLY recommend that you get a bicycle for rent from one of the many vendors available. A decent one costs about 8 Singaporean Dollars .You won't be able to cover the entire island otherwise.

There's a couple different spots to go to . Butterfly Hill , a small mountain peak,  a small temple , so on and so forth. There's also a mountain bike trail but I didn't try that out so no comment there .

We walked around a long trail. We saw swimming lizards, monkeys, a little seal, a hornbill bird, a massive spider hanging from the trees and we also found a Chinese cemetery. You can rent bikes. We did not swim.

To get to the island we paid a guy on the mainland to taxi us over on his boat.
