Cafe Monte Carlo: A Cozy Parisian Brasserie with Authentic Flavors

Nice little coffee shop for a light breakfast.  Had breakfast there with the kids and everyone ate happily.  Only regret is that the menu is small so the choices are few.  Would return!

We didn't expect much for a restaurant right at the busy corner across street from Galleria de Lafayette. The gentleman who served us was so friendly, patient, and made us feel right at home. We ordered two dishes from daily special menu, one from regular menu, all were very tasty. Don't hesitate to come in if you are in the neighborhood.

Food was horrible, order the fish and chips, the fries were reheated, tasteless soggy and greasy, the piece of fish had a half inch coating of batter that was cooked to a almost black color, and loaded with grease, if there was some fish in there it was about as thick as a piece of paper.  Would not ever recommend this to anyone ever. Good location and the gentleman was polite.

Average food.  Server was attentive. Had the set meal for 25 euro included 6 escargot, plate of smoke salmon and pate with toasts and glass of wine.  It was ok.

Below average French food, especially in Paris. Went there for dinner, order onion soup as starter, it was the worst onion soup I ever had. The main course was so so, the service was ok.

Stopped in after a long day. Wasn't too hungry so ordered the pumpkin soup. Probably one of the better soups I've had in my life with creme and bacon. Others had ravioli, salad, and cheese sandwich and all enjoyed it. Service was great. Wine was reasonable, tea was great. A few had dessert and were not dissapointed.

This was by far THE best restaurant experience while in Paris. We recommended to restaurant across the street but when we got there it was empty and overpriced so we decided to check out Le Monte Carlo's menu and saw it was packed with locals. We decided to take a chance and boy are we glad we did. We had the warm goat cheese salad, the French onion soup, steak tartare, and the escargot. All of the food was delicious, out quickly, hot and service good we may have to return again. Our waiter was extremely nice and his recommendations perfect. Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience!!

Compared to the dozens of cafes along the main streets it was very good and excellent service. Would definitely come back. The chicken dish was so tasty!!
