We came at L'Ogre on a Tuesday night for dinner and were told it is full and suggested to have reservations next time.  It's Tuesday though, lol.  We've had a full day outside Paris and didn't have time to call.  Needless to say, we left.  That's okay.  We found a romantic restaurant a block or two away. No regrets... L'Ogre is a loud pub and too casual.  Not my ideal date night but I suggest it for groups.

There was nothing special about L'Ogre. The food was good, not great. Ambiance is nothing special and tables are on top of each other. In Paris, you can do much better.

mais une salle fumeur soit disant fermée à l'intérieur du restaurant qui parfume mets et vêtements d'une douce odeur de cigarettes sans vous laisser un seul instant de répit et un serveur qui n'a pour seule réponse que " mais non Monsieur, c'est votre nez "...quel malheur. 
un serveur donc des plus antipathique qui a depuis longtemps oublie tout sens du service client.
Je parle en bon connaisseur étant déjà venu 5 ou 6 fois dans ce restaurant mais je dois reconnaître et partager ma profonde déception. 
Je n'irai plus. je sors de là littéralement " cigaretté ",  et avec la plus profonde deception.

During our couple vacation my bf needed his meat so we went after a steakhouse. After a simple reservation on their site our tables were booked, as we arrived we discovered the big blackboard with the menu. 
It was rather manageable, with the most important steak options like Entrecote (what he ordered). On the contrary was the wine collection, the card was really overwhelming maybe a bit over the top! 
The price-performance ratio was okay, not the best steak but not bad. But the bread on the side was really good. The steak was served with some french fries and salad. 
The Service made it a really nice stay.

Terrible.  Bartender/server was so rude we left.  Standing in front of the espresso machine she claimed "we don't have espresso" with a dismissive look that one has to wonder why she works there,

Sublime! Amazing wine and steak selections! Good for after work drink-dinner with colleagues/friends but also nice for couples.

Their hours are strange, but, when open, the wine and food are fantastic.  The Paris take on a steak house, the portions are perfect and the wine selection superb.  They work well with us non-French speaking Americans.

Amazing food. Attentive, super friendly staff (speaking English). Went there for lunch before a meeting. Highly recommend for business lunch or leisurely lunch.

Good wait staff (fun people), excellent wine, and lots of good meat.  Reservations are a good idea.  Window tables are the best but I wish their seats were lower to the ground.

L'Ogre is what dining in Paris should be like.  The place is excellent.  The waitress recommended their Steak and it was excellent.  Then Sebastian recommended a wine which went perfect with the steak and lastly went over to their smoke room and enjoyed a cigar and more wine(also recommended by Sebastian).  

Can't forget that as you take your seat they bring you a piece of sausage and bread that are delicious.
