Simply put - 10 out of 10!

We started in the bar with a cocktail, the “Niwa Shi” is on a whole different level, their version of a basil smash but served in a glass I’ve never seen before!

Then downstairs to the restaurant, we sat at the chef’s table. Bento box to begin, gyozas, a Japanese-style Bulhão Pato and Carabiniero, a dish with eel, quail egg, mushrooms, the fried egg with truffle, the list goes on!

After that we were hand-served nigiri by one of the incredible chefs (didn’t get photos of that).

And to finish off the mains, we were able to cook our own wagyu and pork in a broth.

Dessert followed with a pastel de nata style mochi!

I couldn’t fault this place - special thanks to Victor who guided us through the whole experience.

We had an amazing experience!

I was a bit apprehensive after reading some reviews, but having visited Kabuki Madrid multiple times, I loving it, we decided to book Kabuki Lisbon.

The service was excellent, and the staff took wonderful care of us.

Every dish we tried was mouthwatering and of the highest quality. We particularly enjoyed the Carabinero Gyozas with caviar, as well as each of the nigiris—fat tuna, fried egg, steak tartare, and eel. And of course, we couldn't resist ordering the slow-cooked ribs; they never disappoint.

The desserts and sommelier recommendations were the perfect finishing touch. If you're looking to enjoy a fantastic Japanese meal, Kabuki is definitely worth a visit!

Average fusion fare. Food was ok, but nothing special. Flavours were not bold. Portions were tiny. Most of the pics show sharing portions for 2. Agree with previous reviewer; not understanding the Michelin star rating. Overall disappointing and over rated. No atmosphere. Going back to hotel to order room service now😄

Was a bit disappointed by this place. Everything is just average. I expect a bit more from a one star Michelin restaurant. Some of the sashimi dishes are blend. For sashimi, a bit of soy sauce and wasabi may enhance the flavour but neither was provided. We ordered TWO sets of full tasting menu. It was a bit weird that we had to share a couple of small dishes .

First half of the tasting menu was awesome, however second half fall off the cliff a bit. So I’ll rate 3. I sit at the counter in front of a sous chef, next to the head chef. Overall the kitchen (exterior) could be a bit more organized, a few dishes sit for a while before being served to their table. Could be a bit cleaner given it’s fine dining Japanese food.

Sous chefs and the head chef were friendly, sharing stories about Kabuki Spain, the head chef seems very detail oriented and the menu designed I consider innovative, all good points. However, the head chef was away for the second half of my course (it was 10:00pm already so partially understandable), which might have contributed to the deterioration of quality of food. Service was great though, friendly waiter and waitress.

I recommend go with standard tasting menu, I ordered the enhanced one with a wagyu course in addition which turned out to be mediocre.

Willing to give it a second try, but for now, three stars for the uneven quality of menu, dishes could be offered a bit faster, kitchen could be a bit more cleaner/organized, and head chef could be present the whole course.
