Very good service. Tasty, flavourful food!!! Loved the simple but nice atmosphere.

Great food and great service. We planned to go to another restaurant next door but could not find a table so went here instead. Glad we did. The food was tasty, especially the pulled duck served with thin wraps to dip in their special sauce. We've had Peking Duck before but this is much better, as it's much lighter and tastier. All the other fishes were also tasty.

We were strolling through the neighborhood and found this gem.  Our group ordered different proteins to share.  The winners were the lamb curry and mango chicken.  The lamb was extremely tender and full of flavor.  The mango chicken was a bit spicy being offset with the sweetness of fresh mango.  We also ordered the Vietnamese spring roll which was also quite tasty.  The staff were friendly as well.

I would give this place no stars if I could. I hardly ever leave a restaurant or place a bad review but I felt completely disrespected here. I was accompanied by my brother and girlfriend to a lunch here and when we sat down and ordered my girlfriend notice both the owner and the cook just making comments and laughing at me profusely. They said "they liked my jacket" but clearly were laughing at me. Very unprofessional staff for a restaurant as I would expect that type of behavior from little kids in school. Only come here if you want a terrible experience of customer service, terrible professionalism, and average Chinese food you can probably get anywhere else on the go and not have to waste of coming to this terrible restaurant.

Hand on the best Chinese Restaurant in London.
This restaurant is owned by Jimmy Choo, so I was curious to see what it had to offer. Took around 45 minutes to get there from where I live and found street parking nearby which was a bonus. I went for the butterfly king prawn for starters followed by the chicken in chilli sauce dish mixed in with some vegetables. The place is quite small, so I would make a reservation (I usually do wherever I go) just in case. Staff came across a little overworked, but they seemed organised and it seemed very smooth on the operational side. I have to give this place a 5 star because of the food and food only. It wasn't too heavy but the flavour of the prawns and chicken mains were on point, you just know it's all fresh. This is the kinda place I'd go on a special occasion, it is pricey but it's worth it when you want to treat a partner, friend or family member to a good cuisine.

I don't think this place deserves the one star it was given originally.

We went last night and had a good meal.

Whilst the service is not the best, you can see that the staff are trying very hard.  

Food was very good, with very generous portions.  We highly recommend the Vietnamese Spring Rolls.

Went to Maximini last week and had a great experience. The food was great - I absolutely loved the chicken dumplings we ordered for starters!

The staff were all very friendly. They were very helpful and we couldn't have asked for better service! 

We really enjoyed how quiet the restaurant was, plus the decor is modern and pretty. 

The best part was that all the food is halal! We were so happy to find a good halal Chinese restaurant near Hyde Park that nothing else matters!

Definitely wouldn't recommend for vegetarians. There wasn't much too choose from on the menu. I went with a beancurd in blackbean sauce that had an oddly sour taste to it. For the price of the dish it really was a disappointment. The Service was exceptional and the ambience was very pleasant thus the 3 stars.

Finally, good Chinese in central London! Maximini is a slightly upscale restaurant with nice dim ambiance, tucked away on a little street not too far from Paddington. It is owned by Jimmy Choo (who knew?) which is why they have his shoe designs hanging on the wall. We had a comfortable and plush corner table with a sofa and the waiters were nice although they did pressure me three times to get a drink in the five minutes I waited for my friends to get there. 
The Singapore noodles were really well made and went well with chicken in black sauce, the sauce flavoured the noodles nicely. The fried prawns with pepper were excellent, but the pepper beef was a bit disappointing, as the quality of the beef wasn't very good. The rest was so good though that we had an excellent time and the portions were good. The fragrant crispy duck pancakes were also decent.
This place is a nice sit-down restaurant you can take your parents to and is also halal (the waiter told me they don't even have pork on the menu). Definitely a useful find!
