Amazing thoughtful service. 
Bartender was very skilled - literally knew all IBA cocktails.  Of course food was so good with a nice variety on the menu.

We were very pleased with our service and meals both days.  We came each day for breakfast.  We had the buffet breakfast.  Everything was prepared wonderfully.  There were lots of choices.  
Meats, bacon, sausage as well as salmon and a variety of sliced meats.  They have scrambled and sunny side up eggs. Lots of fruits and vegetables and plenty of breads to choose from.  And OMG, you must try the pan custard.   

And all the juices are fresh squeezed.

We arrived late and too tired to enter the city to look for food so we decided to eat at the Bankside's hotel restaurant. The Candyflossmopolitan was good. We tried the pork terrine as a starter and I enjoyed it. The butternut squash and goat cheese gnocchi were outstanding.  We also sampled the pavlova, the passion fruit brulee, and the chocolate tart for dessert. Overall the experience was good, if a little overpriced. If you're in the area I would certainly recommend eating here. The breakfast buffet (not pictured) is outstanding.

Dinner was very good. Attentive and courteous service. The heritage tomato salad was outstanding. 

Elena is an outstanding server! She is friendly and full of energy and made my dinner a special experience.

Such a well-designed and fun place to work, with lovely food and, if you position yourself well, a view of St. Paul's across the river.

I'm giving this place 4 stars !
-1 Star because I didn't find the mains very good, especially the steak I didn't find medium rare .

But overall service & starters was great.

Fresh and healthy breakfast. Would recommend the all you can eat option, then you will have coffee and tea included, while having the option of eating porridge or getting your omelette done.

In addition, there is a buffet with juice, bread, cheese, yogurt, sausages, salmon etc. A bit pricey in comparison to the variety of food options, but the few alternatives will be enough to fill you up :-)

Dined here solo on a business trip. Five star service. And food was excellent. Had a salad and roasted chicken. Plus a really nice white wine

Food is hit & miss, often trying too hard for sophistication at the expense of taste.  We ate here twice on our first day at the hotel because we were so tired from traveling with a young teen in tow, and both times something odd happened: We were asked for feedback  about why we did not eat much of a dish (once because the smoke flavoring was overdone and overwhelmed the other ingredients, and once because the steak tartare -- already not great, too full of sauce, but we'd have eaten it -- was buried under a huge pile of crunchy panko-style scallions that ruined the texture) and both times someone actually came out to tell us why our feedback was misguided. The second time, especially, it felt defensive, argumentative and uncomfortable and made us not want to eat here again. A very bad start to our stay at the Bankside. (And this is the first negative review I have ever posted online for anything -- so it's not us!). Aesthetics excellent though, and wine good -- even if my supposedly 175 ml wine was half the volume of the 125 ml sparkling wine. (Poured it into the glass to check because I'm petty...)
