I stayed at their 3rd floor river view suite. The room was unexpected old and not well clean for a 4 star hotel standard. Upon checking out, I politely asked for 2 bottles of water and were refused. The whole ideal is quite ironic because 4 bottles were provided for each night of stay. I stayed for 3 nights and did not request housekeeping hence water were not refilled. I explained to concierge that I should be provided total of 12 bottles so the additional two I requested should be provided. They still REFUSED. Overall, below standard of what a 4 star hotel should be.

Fantastic hotel on the river in Chiang Mai. We really loved our stay of 4 nights. The room was absolutely lovely, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the riverside restaurant was beautiful and it was very easy to relax here for a few days.

We stayed for three happy nights in this hotel during Christmas. I guess we were lucky and seems having a very nice viewing room for the choice of room we picked on the second floor facing the riverside. This hotel is located at Wat Gate district, which is rather serene compared to the old city. Though the neighbourhood is rather old but it’s super convenient as you can reach Warorot Market just crossing a bridge in 5 mins and the Phae Gate by walking in 20 mins.
We went to the Warorot market in the morning, afternoon and after dinner hahaha for different food. There’s morning market, afternoon tea egg rolls and a night market selling coconut mango rice and many other snacks at night. There are lots of nice cafes and restaurants in the neighbourhood. It’s much more serene less modern though, than staying in Nimman area and the hotel is such a value stay versus other high end hotels along the Ping River, the Raya Heritage which is our favorite before. I already plan to come here again next yr! Staffs are super friendly with good English. They even help me to keep my Grab Food while having a spa after we checked out.

"This Chiang Mai trip was a spur-of-the-moment decision, so we didn't book any accommodation in advance. My husband wanted a hotel by the river, so we drove around looking for one. We were so lucky that Sala Lanna had one last room available! It was a River View room with a stunning view of the Ping River. The room was beautifully decorated in a Lanna style with a modern twist, and it had all the amenities we needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable; we slept soundly all night.

Of course, we couldn't miss "Waan Lamoon", the hotel's restaurant, which is already a favorite of ours. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is fantastic, so we had dinner there.  Every staff member was lovely and provided excellent service, paying attention to every detail. We were truly impressed!  If you're visiting Chiang Mai, I highly recommend staying here. You won't be disappointed."

pretty relaxing weekend. Room 24 is twin room make sure to request well in advance. It is quiet, no noise on corner but with river view. We didnt hear any issue of bar noise but people have complained. Breakfast by the river was divine with great hospitality from every staff, smiley security guard who helps with parking, reception who helps us every need, restaurant staff 100/100!!! thank u sala. (This is my third Sala property visit, both BangPaIn and Phuket are also on par with great service, highly recommended)
