The temple complex is a feast for the eyes with its golden spires reaching towards the sky. We were impressed by the numerous ancient shrines, each with its own unique history and significance. The highlight was undoubtedly the sacred Buddha statues, particularly the enormous Reclining Buddha. The intricate details and sheer scale left us in awe. We recommend wearing respectful attire and comfortable shoes as there's much ground to cover. Wat Pho is an amazing place to visit in Bangkok! It’s home to the giant Reclining Buddha, which is so impressive and beautiful to see up close. The temple grounds are very peaceful, with many colorful statues and detailed decorations. It’s also a great place to learn about Thai culture. The entrance fee is 300 baht, and there’s a lot to see. A beautiful temple, the complex is very large. You can see the giant lying Buddha here. Worth visiting I think, the ceramic decorations are gorgeous. Plan to spend at least one hour here. 300 baht per person, cash only and you have to have the exact amount of cash.

I went at 4pm and the only crowd (which wasn't overwhelmingly large) was at Wat Pho (temple of the reclining Buddha).
The entire place is stunning. The grounds are peaceful, the ordination hall is particularly beautiful. Information is clearly written in Thai and English. You can give a donation to make merit and get candles and incense to make prayer offerings.
Entry was 300 baht which was very reasonable.
They have water fountains available to fill up your water bottles and clean toilets too.

This temple is easily one of my favorite temples in Bangkok! While the Grand Palace across the street is packed with tourists, this place offers a much more serene and enjoyable experience.

The reclining Buddha is simply stunning—far more impressive in person than I expected. Pictures do not do any justice. The peaceful atmosphere lets you really take in the details and enjoy the surroundings without feeling rushed.

Entry is 300THB (cash only), but with several entrances, there’s minimal waiting. A big plus: they provide free coverings if needed, unlike the Grand Palace where you’ll get overcharged to buy some clothes.

Visiting the reclining Buddha requires removing your shoes, but they’ve thought ahead and provide bags to carry them. Another thoughtful touch is the free drinking water stations where you can refill your bottle.

It’s a very beautiful complex. All in all, it was a wonderful experience that I’d happily give a 5/5!
