Sugar Club Bangkok is a well-known nightlife destination in Sukhumvit 11 in Bangkok, Thailand - an area bustling with restaurants, hotels, and entertainment venues. However, my recent visit left me with mixed feelings compared to my experience two years ago.

The club has implemented some strict policies since my last visit, including a no-photo rule that’s enforced with laser pointers from security—a bit off-putting. The venue is incredibly crowded, making it difficult to find space to stand, dance, or truly enjoy the music. While you can reserve a standing table by purchasing a required amount of drinks, it doesn’t necessarily make the experience any less cramped. But hey there is always VIP!

Upon entry, you’re required to buy a drink, but the ticket must be redeemed at a specific bar near the entrance upstairs, which is also crowded. This adds unnecessary inconvenience since other bars in the club won’t accept the ticket.

As for the music, the club heavily leans into old or old-school hip-hop, which might appeal to some but felt dated compared to the current and newest hits in the U.S.

Despite these drawbacks, Sugar Club Bangkok still manages to maintain its reputation as a hip and lively spot for hip-hop enthusiasts. If you’re looking for a vibrant night out and don’t mind the crowd, it’s worth a visit. Just be prepared for the hustle and a few inconveniences along the way.

Do not waste your money on drinks or bottles. There is not real dance floor it’s full or standing tables. People who buy bottle standing tables (bottle service) complain when people who are next to them. Price to get is price to get a drink roughly 400 baht.

I recently visited Sugar Night Club in Bangkok for the first time, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. Within the first 10 minutes of arriving, I encountered a situation that left me shocked and disappointed.

As I leaned against the rail with my drink, a bouncer approached and hit my hand twice, seemingly frustrated that I was standing next to him. When I brought this to the attention of the general manager, Kem, she reviewed the CCTV footage but dismissed my concerns. She justified the bouncer's behavior by suggesting that the language barrier was the problem, which I find unacceptable and odd that a manger would even think like that. No matter where you are in the world, physical aggression is never an appropriate response, especially in a customer service environment.

The club appears to cater primarily to groups of foreigners spending money on tables, creating a lounge-like atmosphere with standing tables for bottles. It's small and feels overcrowded, which adds to the discomfort. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt like an inconvenience.

To make matters worse, when I expressed my concerns about the treatment I received, Kem mentioned that my voice was loud and disruptive while talking to her mind you the music is super loud.I'm a humble and soft-spoken person I couldn’t be loud if I tried, so this was particularly disheartening.that now the manager is threatening to kick me out while I am explaining to her what happened it was a very weird experience as a Black man traveling and living in other countries I have never had any conflict where I am a patron and are threatened to get kicked out this was by far my worst experience in Thailand Thai people are usually very great with language barrier and don’t physically touch you because they don’t understand.
A couple already told me they cater to groups that come there to buy tables mainly Europeans, the blacks are to party downstairs at another club specific for there culture. He told me sugar club just plays hip hop but they don’t cater to single black men partying there he said next time go to the second floor you will feel the difference.

Overall, my experience at Sugar Night Club was disappointing, and I left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. I urge anyone visiting to be cautious and to stand firm against any physical aggression. There are plenty of other venues in Bangkok that offer a better atmosphere and respect for their patrons. Save your time and money and look elsewhere.

Because I cannot respond I am writing it here that is a lie if he dose t speak English how can he politely ask me something I would love for you to post the footage but you won’t do that. There is no way to politely push anything the drink was in my hand he never said anything the first or second time all he did was push my hand not the drink and how can pushing a drink prevent it from not falling that doesn’t makes sense pushing it would cause it to fall. I notice that the bad reviews you are are gaslighting people to say that there experience is not true not one apology to anyone who has wrote a bad review this  is extremely unsettling that you think someone can politely push your hand also the club had just opened there was t that many people there. I read another review where said the lady was drunk and she doesn't remember what happened it seems your club does no wrong. I have reason to lie about what happened to me and also tell me how you can hear him asking me politely from cctv with no audio please explain that  he literally came over pushed my my hand then pushed my hand again I put my hand on the rail and told me to move please post the footage and stop calling people liars about there experiences.
