The best chalet on the Rochebrune side of Megève. The food was great and so was the Aperol spritz. I tried their desserts as well (tiramisu and cannolo with ricotta) and liked them both very much. The chef and food is Italian. I recommend to either make a reservation or to go early/late to be sure they’ll have a table for you.

I'm deeply disappointed with my experience at Chalet Lupo. My family and I made a reservation in advance for a special dinner, only to arrive and find that the road leading to the restaurant was not easily accessible and the cable car/ chairlift they claim to use in the summer time was closed during the evening time, forcing us to taking uneven trails using our car. We had no way to access the restaurant, and yet they still charged us the full reservation fee.

When we tried to speak to the manager, they were extremely rude and unwilling to make any accommodations. We ended up having to go to another restaurant last minute, which was a major inconvenience and ruined our plans for the evening.

Charging customers for a reservation they are unable to use due to circumstances outside their control is completely unacceptable. The lack of transparency about the road condition and the poor customer service we received makes me unlikely to ever consider dining at Chalet Lupo again. I would strongly caution anyone considering making a reservation here - you may end up paying for a meal you're unable to actually have. Very poor experience overall.

Dear Lupo,
Contrary to your belief we were excited for our reservation. We left our hotel 30 minutes prior, even when google maps said we would reach within 17 minutes. We called you at 7:45 because the service was cut out. And to our knowledge at that time that was the only route available therefore we called to say we would not come as the service doesnt work and we had to go back down to call you and the road was rocky and not a proper road.
After you informed us to take a different route we spent 30 minutes following your instruction then we decided to head back down since the road you recommended was also unsafe, not a proper road, not suitable for children especially if i will be driving back down during the night, with no service, and in simple terms a hiking trail.
We had every intention of showing up to that dinner and we took every recommendation by you until ultimately we deemed it unsafe.
You were on the call with us to see the extents we were going and to charge is 480€ is simply of bad taste.
We also asked if we can perhaps reschedule to an earlier time so that we may use the ski lifts after you informed us of their closing hours and you were still not at all accomadating, so please dont make it sound like we just changed our minds on a whim.
As per “everyone knows the chairlift close at 5:30.” I am not a local and I do not know. This shouldve been clarified on your website.

Chalet Lupo is a incredible place in the mountains with a magnificent view.
The Cheff of the restaurant prepares great quality dishes, I recommend the "Linguine al nero di Seppia" (Linguine with squid ink) e "Fava bean purée with Cime di Rapa" (with turnip tops).
Definitely to be returned!!!

I came to this place with great expectations, but was disappointed. I took the bolognese gnocchi and they didn’t hold their shape at all, which is what you don’t want from gnocchi. The tomato sauce wasn’t balanced, and the ground meat was scarce. It upset my stomach. The tagliata was well served, together with tasty purée (smashed potatoes). I give a 3* because of the service and location. If you go for a meal, I can’t recommend. For a drink, sure.
