Had a wonderful stay for our wedding anniversary. Stunningly beautiful little town and well worth the many hilly walks. Staff were super friendly and helpful and went above and beyond. Loved the wellness pool. Bit if a shame you can’t have a drink in the restaurant to make the most of the amazing views. Had a fabulous stay, would definitely return.

What a disappointment. Don’t believe the photos. For a Hyatt property this is far from four stars and luxury. The “superior” room has a view into the building next door but does have a large bathroom which is a plus. If you’re into Medieval, low ceilings, brown walls, hearing the clunking of the room residents above you walking around all night and lots of stairs, you’ll find this hotel fun. The staff was very pleasant and responsive when we had to switch one of our rooms. The upgrade with a balcony was appreciated. The biggest heads up is the location. You have to park a long ways away from the hotel and lug all of your things. That got old fast.  It’s all up hill back to the hotel and they only pick you up upon arrival and departure. They should change this policy. Not recommended if you have any mobility issues. The best part of our experience at this hotel was the cleanliness, kindness and helpfulness of the young men who carried our luggage, and two complimentary coffees from the restaurant upon our departure. I wanted to like it more but the photos really misrepresent how dark and not luxurious (or romantic) the hotel really is. Not a good location. The staff was nice though.

We had an absolutely lovely stay for the first stop on our honeymoon. We had the suite but I assume all of rooms get excellent turn town and refresh every day, if was absolutely a highlight. This village is not accessible in any way so please be warned, there is steep stairs both in and out anyway you go, it rained our first day which did make things slippery but it dried out by the morning. There is a free shuttle available around the medieval village and into the “new” village. We used the train in the “new village” to get to Antibes, Cannes, Nice, and Monaco.

We did not eat at the restaurant for any meals but wish we had the chance to. We had an okay experience at a place at the top of the old village but otherwise I would say the only thing in this place is a bit isolated. We tried to do everything while we were out for the day before getting back and staying in for the night as it felt difficult to go back out for the evening, not impossible though and the free shuttle runs quite late. The staff went above and beyond and took us in the shuttle to the train station also. I didn’t realize they offered a shuttle for pickup but wish I had done this as our Uber scraped up his car quite badly.

Our coffee was refreshed daily and we had a Nespresso, our room also had a second “bathroom” for the soaking tub and the extra sinks were a nice bonus. As someone else noted there wasn’t much hot water in the morning, we showered in the evening and had the same experience. This was my only complaint as we didn’t get to use the soaking tub because the water was only lukewarm.

Pros: feels living in medieval times, definitely a new and impressive experience; Room has gorgeous sea view, clean and tidy.
Cons: It’s really hard walking down, suggest park at Azur parking which is the nearest, otherwise you’ll need to walk at least 10mins to your car.
Overall very worth it!!

Reviewing only the restaurant. The view is beautiful. However the restaurant experience is below the quality you would expect at that price. The food was uninspiring, overly complicated and dated. The ambience was rigid and unwelcoming, silent. One excellent member of staff who was fantastic, but sadly not supported by the other staff members - one of whom seemed incapable of even pouring a beer correctly. Overpriced and underwhelming. A big shame, because the setting is beautiful and it could/should be mind-blowing. Plenty better restaurants in the area at the same/lower price. Would not want to stay at the hotel having experienced the restaurant.
