For $1,000+ a night, we were expecting warm, inviting and attentive hospitality. We found the service abrupt and cold, as if we were passers through rather than guests (the exception being the concierge, who did remember our name). There was no one thing in particular, but we found ourselves searching for staff at the pool, at the entrance, at the restaurants for assistance rather than having staff present and looking for ways to help guide our experience. The food on the terrace was mediocre and overpriced (EUR 35 for a cocktail), though the drinks were quite good.

Our Golden Wedding celebration has been enhanced by this lovely hotel. All the staff have friendly, attentive and caring. We were upgraded to a suite overlooking the harbour. We ate in the Michelin star restaurant and had wonderful taste’s dancing on our palate

A breathtaking location with gorgeous accommodations. The beauty and history of the property can be felt in every part of the experience, from the picturesque entrance and driveway, to the dreamy lobby, commanding terrace and captivating stairways. We felt a warm welcome from the incredibly accommodating staff, from check-in to check out. The location is unbeatable for both the view and the walkability. Our room was gorgeous as were the private balconies—where we ultimately got engaged!

We can’t wait to visit again and highly recommend this property.

They participate in the Amex fine hotels program but do not follow through with the promised benifits. No early check in, in fact it was late.  No room upgrade, no late check-out.  For $1,000+ a night, we were expecting warm, inviting and attentive hospitality. We found the service abrupt and cold, as if we were passers through rather than guests.  They put out the same food for breakfast from the previous day or days,  cheeses, cakes, bread gets weird looking and the serial is stale.

Generally speaking the experience was positive but there was something off about the attitude of the staff. After having stayed at multiple 5 star locations in Italy prior to reaching this hotel, it's clear someone at the top was instilling an off service attitude that did not come off at genuine or hospitable for an establishment at this level.
The outdoor balcony music is too loud.
Housekeeping is excellent.
The grounds are beautiful and the location cannot be better.
The pool restaurant is very good despite the low budget Bahamas look to it.
