Our lunch @chinappi_restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed into an elegant yet inviting atmosphere, where the warmth of the staff instantly made us feel at home. The service was impeccable—professional, attentive, and always ensuring every request was met with care.

But the real magic? The food. Each dish was a perfect harmony of tradition and innovation, skilfully crafted to showcase the finest seafood with exquisite balance. The freshness of the ingredients was undeniable, and every bite was a true celebration of flavour. And let’s not forget Stefano, the heart and soul of Chinappi, whose passion for his craft is evident in every recommendation and explanation he shares. His love for what he does makes the dining experience all the more special.

The most phenomenal meal I had in Rome. Khan was a fabulous server. We did not order, he simply brought us his favorite menu items and everything was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend.

I went in this lovely restaurant with my mom once I got back to Italy for vacation. The first thing that surprised me was the nice atmosphere and the warm welcome from the Owner, his name is Stefano and I swear he is the nicest person ever!
After he showed us our table, he introduced us the menu which is really refined and tasteful. We really trusted him and he took care of us for the entire dinner. Before choosing this restaurant I read the bad reviews where many costumers said that Stefano wanted to forced them to order what he wanted, but I totally disagree with them!!! If it seemed like this, it's just because Stefano wanted to suggest them the best dish and guide them in a 5* dinner experience.
I love food and so I loved this restaurant! We've got various selection of raw fish, the taste was great and the fish was super fresh... but the best part was the main courses! My mom got a grilled octopus, and I got a Spaghetti with clams that was amazing!
Chinappi is a family restaurant, and it was nice to talk with Stefano's wife and their sons. I'll definitely recommend this place to my friends and to whom will read this review!

The temple of Fish Cuisine in Rome. Raw ingredients at the highest levels, great quality and freshness. The patron Stefano Chinappi always recommends the best, and he's also a great champagne expert. Let him guide you in a great experience at Chinappi Restaurant!  (don't forget to taste as raw fish as possibile!)

We came here for Christmas Eve, after seeing a review. This was a complete tourist trap. The food terrible. The manager or the lead server was very annoying. He was constantly starring at us as we dined, when he brought the wrong thing over he would leave it and insist we try it anyway when we were very clear we did not want it. We asked for a cocktail of which they had all the ingredients, considering there were the ingredients at their bar and on their menu (A vodka martini), they had no idea what it was, which could be a moment of miscommunication but when we expressed it wasn’t correct, he insisted we try it anyway. Beside this, their tasting menu was appalling- with a soggy bruschetta lacking flavour and quality of ingredients. Worst ravioli. Cold stuffed calamari wasn’t too bad in flavour but was accompanied with a burnt green mystery veg resembling spinach. Overall it felt like we were on kitchen nightmares, even looked around to see if there were camera crew. Contemplated writing this review because some of the supporting staff were friendly and in good spirits, but this is just not a good restaurant.
