If you’re looking for something different ancient ruins and renaissance painting this is a excellent choice.Rome’s National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art houses the most complete collection of artworks of Italian and foreign art of the period between 19th and 21st centuries. Including paintings, drawings, sculptures and installations, the collection of around 20.000 artworks represents the main artistic movements of the last two centuries, after 1-2 hours will give you a solid overview of the collection. Stop by the gallery’s café, often overlooked by visitors, to take a break after your visit.

Really lovely museum. The setup of each room is elegant and spacious. A good mix of some classic pieces and the futurismo on display is interesting. It wasn't too busy when we arrived after lunch. But there was a line as we were leaving about 2 hours later. €15 per person. We love the lions displayed on the steps. Not a place for children. Overall good experience and we recommend to couples or grown ups.

Great museum! Would recommend 2-2.5 hours for exploring the entire facility. Lots of different stuff. The futuristic section was really cool.

Really well spent money. You can leave your backpack in a locker, the bathrooms are spotless and there is a lot of art and rooms to explore. Loved it, even though when I went (Late October), the second floor was closed due to renovations. Still, I would recommend anyone that visits Rome to come and have a walk through the park adjacent.
