Pros:
A stunning collection of masterpieces! I could stare at them for hours! Really worth it. And it's a lot of graffiti, you can stay there for hours.
Nice cafe upstairs.
Nice areas nearby - the beach and port.
Reachable by ferry - it goes very often and it's free of charge.
They give a discount for students on entrance fee, regardless of the country you study in.
They have lockers to leave your stuff.

Cons:
Very cold. I don't think the building has any heating.
Quite expensive.

I had the pleasure of helping with an exhibition at this museum and also painting a mural onsite. They were very professional and respectful. They always made sure I had everything I needed. The museum and exhibition space itself is incredible and cavernous. I have never been in such a dynamic industrial exhibition space. As an artist and a museum professional, this stands out amongst the many museum experiences I've had. If you're able to visit - don't hesitate. The interior cafe space is also top-notch. They are doing great things here.

The curation is excellent, with a mix of well-known and emerging artists, and the interactive elements help you appreciate the stories behind the works. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Breath-taking art and well worth the entrance fee for sure. We actually got round in less than an hour but that's because we have 2 kids and didn't linger on any particular piece.
Don't forget to go upstairs to the panorama view levels. They give you a view of the whole gallery at once so pretty cool and good for photos. Also don't forget to see the art outside the museum all over the surrounding walls.
We didn't have it but there was a cafe too.

I almost cancelled this from my itinerary. I’ve seen so much street art around the world, I thought this would be more of the same.

I’m so relieved I didn’t. I paid extra to take the guided tour and I know that if I didn’t, I wouldn’t have appreciated or understood the depth of some of the art murals, street art or art walls.

Our guide who is also a street artist/muralist gave us an in depth (short but with much substance) on the origins, the thinking and the culture behind street art.

If you enjoy seeing street art and would like to us we stand the psychology behind it a little bit more, this is the place to go.
The photos don’t do the STRAAT museum any justice without the guided tour.

It’s worth paying for. I stayed longer than I expected until they had to close. If you like seeing things slowly, 2 hours (excluding the guided tour) would be somewhat sufficient.
