I recently organized an event for 100 people at Café de Jaren, and everything went great! Thanks to the entire team, and especially to Maurice, for the excellent service. I planned everything from Barcelona, and he made it super easy to ensure everything turned out as expected. The venue is beautiful, perfectly located, and offers wonderful views of the canals.

Without a doubt, I will be back in the future!

Café de Jaren is a charming spot in Amsterdam, and I recently had a lovely time there. The location is truly beautiful, right by the canal, making it the perfect place to relax and soak in the Amsterdam atmosphere.

We started with some refreshing beers – they were just what we needed on a warm day. To eat, we shared a Caesar salad with egg, which was fresh and satisfying. We also enjoyed the olives and hummus, which were a great accompaniment to our drinks.

Overall, Café de Jaren offers a great experience. The combination of the beautiful location, tasty food, and refreshing drinks makes it a place I'd happily recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed meal or drinks by the canal in Amsterdam.

I was simply looking to find a place to get a nice warm tea, in the cold rainy weather and Café de Jaren was the perfect place for that. Excellent service, very good jasmine tea and a very nice relaxing atmosphere, even when it gets busy. Very nice view with the beautiful and tall windows, overall the layout of the restaurant is really well done, many seats to choose from based on preference. The service was super welcoming and friendly! Highly recommend 😊

Location location location! Doesn’t get better! And why it should be a must visit on your list.
The food is strictly okay. Or maybe I didn’t order the right things. The eggs in my shakshouka were hard boiled and not runny. The vibe is great and I’m sure their other food is too.
Pro Tip: the cheese from my toast was ‘gone with the infamous Amsterdam wind’. So I never got to taste it. Make sure you secure loose items if you’re sitting in the stunning outside section!

One of the hidden gems of Amsterdam city center, highly recommended. Very Spacious, beautiful view on the water and middle of city center. Food quality is amazing in addition to very big variety of drinks. Don’t miss it if you are in town
