As my profile says, I'm a hiker and so I wanted to walk up to the top and was thankfully talked into taking the Funicular. The lineup was long but fast moving, the ride was quick and romantic. There are no walking trails to the top, you would just be following the road with limited views, so this is worth it. The views up there are amazing but it is busy as there is an amusement park for kids, if that is not your thing, check the hours and go as the amusement park is closing.

The best way to get up the hill of Igueldo and enter the vintage amusement park. All together is an experience that you should not miss! Great view of the city. Cost 4,50€ per adult to go up and down. Better go early, around 12.30 there is a long queue so waiting time is more than 30min.

Fun to ride. Views at the top were spectacular. As we exited at the top, there were spontaneous gasps from all the passengers (followed by nervous laughter when we realized we all gasped at the same time). We didn't eat at the restaurant but it looked inviting. The amusement park was not in operation the day we visited. Worth the time and small fee.

Very old and charming funicular. A bit of a wait to get on and a bit cramped inside, but thankfully the journey time to the top wasn't very long. I thoroughly enjoyed the ride up to the top where the views across the bay were truly spectacular.

Quaint funicular that runs frequently up and down to the small theme park and views of the bay and city. A few euros per person for return (around €5 when we visited) and they were accepting card payments. We queued for about 15-20 minutes in peak season during the middle of the day to ride up, and there was no queue coming down.
