Japanese ramen in central Gothenburg.
Our waitress was attentive to what we needed. The venue was okay, but probably cozier in the evening.

The ramen was decent. I had a 3. Hakata ramen (pork broth). Black garlic Mayu, Chashu (pork belly), bean sprouts, wood ear mushrooms, nitamago, and nori. The broth wasn't rich in flavor, but the ingredients were fresh. The taste was good but not amazing in any way. The chicken I tasted from my friend was quite
dry and chewy.

Ramen-Ya doesn’t live up to its price or rumor, but is elevated by the service, venue, and location. Might visit again in the future for another try.

The best ramen we’ve had in Sweden so far.

The place was very welcoming and staff were very friendly and explained the concept to us (the garlic!). It did become quite hot inside, but overall very inviting.

The bun was nice, a bit dry and not the best we’ve had but overall good.
The ramen however, was the best ramen we’ve had in Sweden to date. The broth was not too salty, had a good kick of spice and well flavoured. There was a very good portion of meat and very generous serving of noodles!

Highly recommend!

The service was fantastic, and the ramen tasted okay. I love that they provide fresh garlic for you to add and there’s a wide variety of ramen and drinks to choose from.

The beef bun was disappointing, but the ramen was tasty.
A decent amount of vegan options (which is great), and a lot of pork on the ramen-menu, but unfortunately only two non vegan dishes that don't contain pork.
