Visited the October Gallery the other day, for lunch and to see the current exhibition.
The food was excellent, home cooked prawns laksa for a very reasonable price, with a great menu selection throughout the week.
This wonderful gallery and cafe is an ideal spot for lunch, or a quiet coffee before getting back to work or exploring the surrounding busy streets of central London. A worthy visit.

Walked by the October gallery, off Queen Square Gardens, after seeing a friend the other evening. Paused to capture these photos of the outside (while it was closed). The Gallery has, for years, showcased contemporary African art. Must visit again soon!📌 🎨

Brilliant little gallery that shows the work of artists from around the world with a strong focus on contemporary African artists. Staff are supper friendly and always knowledgeable and willing to discuss the works. Lovely outside space too where you can take time to relax and enjoy the urban green space and the toilets are among the cleanest, well kept I have come across (and full of plants too) 😄. There is a small library of books for purchase and always a good leaflet to accompany the show giving some background info. Not sure if the gallery is fully accessible as there are steps to the front but there may well be another access point so do check. Some good pubs and restaurants nearby. Excellent show on at the moment so well worth a visit.

We visited the charming little October Gallery garden as part of the Open Garden Squares Weekend. While we were there, we also checked out the "Fragile Responsibility" exhibition by Eddy Kamuanga Ilunga's which was very interesting. A great place for anyone interested in contemporary international art.
