I recently visited Isabel Mayfair for a girls’ lunch after a morning out, and the experience mostly lived up to its upscale location. The interior was elegant and thoughtfully designed, creating a chic yet relaxed atmosphere.

Service was efficient and attentive without being overbearing. We ordered à la carte—starters, mains, and a few drinks.

While the presentation and flavor of all dishes were good, the mains definitely offered better value, with more generous portions (I’d particularly recommend the “Squid Ink Black Rice”). In contrast, some of the starters felt a bit underwhelming for the price point —like the prawns, which were halved, leaving us with just four prawn. However, the tuna and steak tartare were more substantial and well-balanced!

Similarly, the drinks were good, although, in my opinion, the price point is more justified by the setting and location of the restaurant rather than the drinks themselves.

Overall, if you’re looking for a serene lunch in a beautifully decorated setting, Isabel’s is a solid choice.

Food was good, quite pricey. Very loud and hard to hold a conversation. Attracts a lot of post work employees from the area. Meanwhile I know everything about the real estate deal the guys sitting next to our table are about to close.

The steak was the only highlight of the night. The service was not the best, everyone was quite rude. We came for a birthday and they said they would have a complimentary cake with a candle and write the name of the birthday girl. Well that was a fail, the cake ended up being 2 tiny macarons, and no name was added, they didn’t even help us sing or anything. Once was enough, but I wouldn’t go again.

Came for our anniversary and came out feeling a bit overwhelmed by the whole experience, in an unsatisfactory way.

Food tasted quite average and overpriced for what you’re paying for.

Service was quite poor. As soon as we would finish the food the plate was taken away. Felt like it was forced for us to stay there and got the feeling they wanted us to leave.

Cocktails were quite average.

The whole ascetics however was quite nice. Wife loved the toilet vibe hence the 100 pictures.
