The muffin was buttery and the beef was perfectly cooked. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft inside. 

I have high hopes for this new restaurant, and I'll be back for the seabass tartare and more raw food.

Fantastic oysters and £5 cocktails. The staff were great and couldn't fault it. The reason I don't give it 5* is that they had a few options of oysters but when I visited they only had one and I did think this wasn't a good start as we had arrived just after it open so they couldn't have sold out but just didn't order any which is great. However, what I did order was great

Incredible hidden gem - its really off the beaten track, but definitely should be visited if you love oysters.

They do an oyster happy hour (5-7pm on Saturdays, different times on weekdays). Their oyster selection is half price, so between £1.50 and £1.75 per oyster.

The other reviews were right - they have some of the best oysters I've ever had in London! My favourite was the Kumamoto, but you might prefer the rock or blackwater oysters if you like them a bit saltier and plumper. Fresh and tasty.

I'd just come from Wright Brothers that afternoon, where I also had happy hour oysters, and The Richmond was hands down the better choice. I'm definitely coming back here again for their oyster happy hour, but will also stay for dinner as their menu looked really interesting!

Closed - This is an unfortunate but necessary occasion to write my first Yelp review, given that so few reviews for the venue have been written and that it is in a rather remote borough of the city, requiring some time and effort for unsuspecting diners to get to.

We went to The Richmond this evening for the oyster happy hour only to find a beautifully decorated patio with vibrant, fresh summer planters and a glowing neon sign. As we drew closer, it became clear that the picnic tables were stacked and every blind in the building was drawn shut. After staring in frustrated disbelief for some minutes, we walked down the street to a delicatessen, where the shop purveyor informed us that The Richmond had closed just one week before for reasons unknown to him. We had never been before and so wanted to try the oysters.

We had a really nice evening, the service was good and friendly, the drinks (cocktails and wine) all excellent and the quality of food was top notch.  The oysters, as you'd hope, were outstanding.

However...........overall I think it's just costs too much for what's offered.  The portions are small and in some cases (e.g. Red Prawns) absolutely tiny and the there was nothing about the cooked dishes that made them stand-out.

It's the closest restaurant to my home so I'm sure I'll be back - but we ended-up spending a 'big night out' amount of money for a three course meal with wine and a couple of cocktails in a local restaurant.  There's a market for a meal of that cost - but not for this food.

For a local restaurant I need something more affordable.  The happy hour looks great value - pity it doesn't fit very well with my lifestyle but a few cheap oysters and a nice wine or cocktail after work here would be great.

Mix-up on the service but the food was excellent. The lovage cake was a surprise hit--I was dubious but it was amazing.
