I happened to get lost during my travels in London, and ended up in this adorable little community, complete with a picturesque little park, private residential buildings, and this unexpected, randomly placed Asian restaurant. 

The fare seems like simple and unassuming Chinese take-out food, at first, but believe me, everything pops with flavor. Everything is fresh and made to order, which means you might be waiting for a little while for your food to get made, but it is well worth it. 

The meat dishes look amazing, but the Mixed Veggie Fillet Bun was ridiculously good. I ordered it as a takeaway meal, but as I opened it up to take a picture for my Yelp readers, I couldn't resist taking a bite, and it was gone before I knew it. The juxtaposition of soft fluffy bun, crispy vegetables, and savory mushrooms, was the perfect combination of flavors and textures. Regular Chinese take-out just doesn't compare. This even felt healthy, Lord help me.

The place is fairly small and won't seat too many people, but it's clean, comfortable, and there's a lovely park just across the street with plenty of shade and seating where you can go and enjoy your meal if need be. If you're short on time, definitely call ahead, though.

Great service and home-made ingredients. I live in the apartment upstairs and stop by often. One time I had ran out of salad dressing for a dinner I was already making. I stopped in to make the odd request of borrowing just a little olive oil. The chef asked me what kind of greens I had, and then mixed up a bespoke flavourful Chinese dressing just for me. He didn't even charge me, like a good neighbour. Try the red braised pork ribs. Only my mum makes better.

Best Chinese Food ever! Worth visiting if you're in the area. The aubergine was my favourite but everything was great! Very friendly staff too :)

Chinese restaurant with terrible service and worrisome hygiene and cleanines. We bought food from Boxu and one of the dishes came with a bug. We called the restaurant to report the issue and they did not care. The call ended with them hanging up on us! We threw out the food and ordered from another place. A few days later I stopped by the place and they were very rude when I explained the situation and asked for a refund. Bad service and obviously we will never order from this place again.

Had the Shredded Duck Soup and Spring Rolls yesterday on my way to work and so glad I stopped by! The food was delicious and the staff really nice, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for Chinese food around Old Street!
