Since my mates and I have been trying to eat healthier this year, we thought a vegan place would be perfect! Sorry to any of my vegan friends on here, but some vegan joints such as this place don't feel any healthier than your local McDonalds! Sure, the dishes at Genesis are cooked with avocado oil but lots of the dishes seemed filled with a bunch of fried toppings. 

For example, the tofu dog was good until it had all these fried onions on top of it. I also ordered the fried avocado taco and the fried breading of the avocado was a little too heavy. Additionally, the nut butter Mac and cheese was way too sweet. The concepts of their dishes are really good and the ambiance is super trendy, but I wish the food was a little more thoughtful and vegetable forward. The most vegetable forward dish was a kale salad and that was surprisingly my favorite thing. Besides all of this, the staff is really nice, but I would suggest a menu that doesn't rely too much on frying everything.

Atmosphere and staff are great.  cute shop near Brick lane and Spitalfields. Has a downstairs seating area that can fit groups.

The menu was a mix of dinner items and some Asian flavors. Main and a side will be around 15quid 

The food was mediocre. Lots of sauce on all of the items.

I would suggest the duck taco and chocolate milkshake.

Came here with a group for lunch. Food came out reasonably fast and everyone was very satisfied with the burger. I got two tacos both of which were really unique and delicious! My only regret was the kimchi fries. I was expecting something really messy and indulgent but it was just fries with some mayo and very little kimchi. It also cost 7.50 which was way overpriced. Despite that, I will come back!

Popular vegan spot with a very cool interior. Diverse menu offering everything from tacos, to Malaysian and Indian inspired dishes. Burgers, mac and cheese... there's something for everything. 

Portion size was a little small, so I would recommend ordering multiple dishes, or sharing several menu items with friends. I will say this spot is a little pricey, however, given the amount of food you get. 

We ordered the Kimchi Fries + Sriracha Mayo, Hoisin Duck Taco and the Kale Caesar Salad. 

The Kimchi Fries were a solid choice, great to share with friends, and the Hoisin Duck Taco was probably our favourite. We ordered the Kale Caesar to balance out the meal because most of the menu items aren't exactly healthy. Vegan, yes, but definitely a little more junk-foody.

Line was out the door when we came for Sunday lunch, so highly recommend booking ahead. We reserved and had no issues once we stepped in. 

Worth a visit for sure!

Our first night in London my sister and I walked down a Main Street in London and noticed this very beautiful pink and brightly colored restaurant. We walk in and are warmly greeted and could not stop looking at every detail of the place. This spot has so many instagrammable spots especially with the neon signs and the retro ads. The menu is such a breath of fresh air for anyone who is vegan or vegetarian! It's a impressive assortment of foods. So do yourself a favor and order the fried avocado taco and the jackfruit taco!! Incredible flavor!! We appreciate the young petite lady with curly hair who sat with us in the table and went down the menu with us. She was a delight and mentioned how she always wanted to come to NYC. Amazing service and high quality food. Highly recommend this place!

We were visiting London and were blown away by all the vegan food available! Wish we had more time or bigger appetites!! This restaurant has a really cool vibe with bright colors, pinks, and rose gold! The artwork the wall is really funky in a modern way! Bob Marley was playing which is always perfect! Now on to the food, it's a casual spot and you place your order at the counter and they bring it to you when ready. The service was quick and courteous. The food was amazing! We had the fried chicken sandwich and kimchi fries. Everything was amazing, crispy, and delicious!! I can't wait to go back when we're in London!! Add this to your list of must eats for London! 

Only negative observation that I will add is that the owner/managers were having a meeting right next to us in the public dining area. The restaurant was empty but still. It's a bit unprofessional! Everyone wants to see Oz and not some short bald guy playing with mirrors. If there's no space for an office take it to a coffee shop or something, but never discuss business in the presence of clients!

Fabulous Mediterranean salad with a hint of spice. The portion was a bit small for the price but the taste was great. I've been here before though and the cauliflower dish was only mediocre.

Um oh my goodness this place is epic! Some of the best vegan food I've had. Cannot believe how well this place has nailed it with the flavors and the quality of the food. Service is perfect too.. staff are on their game big time and they're super cool. Love it and can't wait to come again

Genesis is super cute and trendy from the moment you walk in, with pink lights and vintage posters all around. The overall concept of an extensive vegetarian/vegan menu is very exciting to me and I especially looked forward to trying the burgers. I ordered the jackfruit hoisin taco (£5), veganuary burger (£9.50), kimchi (£3), and sauerkraut (£3) all with Lovely Morning tea (£3). The veganuary burger seems to be this month's special and has: quinoa and seitan patty, chargrilled pepper, tzatziki, oyster mushrooms, coconut cheese, and lamb's lettuce. I would come back for this burger alone, I absolutely loved it. The quinoa and seitan patty had the right amount of spice and all the components were delicious. The jackfruit taco tasted good but was quite sweet. Kimchi had slices of red chili, very delicious and spicy - I didn't care much for the sauerkraut as it was not bitter or acidic. Lovely morning tea was okay, nothing special to note; it contains green tea, green mate, orange, lemon, guarana, and grapefruit but tasted mostly like lemon tea. Staff are friendly and attentive. Overall, I REALLY enjoyed the veganuary burger and kimchi but honestly felt that I spent too much for what I got. I expect to be full and satisfied after having both a burger and taco but that wasn't the case here.

let me go ahead and recommend the tacos. get a flight of tacos for your table. you won't regret it.
