Holy crap.  Been to London five times and always hunting the back alleys for some special food finds.  This one is incredible.  Look for the places with a Q of people on their lunch breaks.  Line moves Uber fast.  I ordered the chicken baguette.  Wow.

Reporting live from my desk where I am currently sipping on this long awaited dish, as my eyes stream from the intense spiciness and my nose runs from the heat, or maybe my rampant drug problem but who can know really 

anyway so. im having pho. I have the fucking hangover of my life and i needed pho right, cause what the fuck else fixes broken souls and shattered dreams better than pho amairight? but im not fixed guys, we have a problem. ive picked ONE, and i swear on my dealer's life ONE piece of beef that was soft and edible - the rest is pure nerves and bones, and if i wanted a bone i would have taken Fishy home from the pub last night (please see above re:hangover of my life) 

I might give this place another try tho, cause everyone seems to think its the shit, and I want to be proven wrong.

I love bahn mi - but I have yet to find that authentic taste I am used to here in London. Chao Now does a pretty good job, with crunchy baguette, well seasoned meat, and pickled vegetables. Still not as good as the ones in California, but almost there. And it definitely satisfies that craving for Vietnamese food without travelling to Kingsland Road.

Delicious lunch of Vietnamese beef stew

I saw a colleague eating a dish and had to know where it was from leading me to this excellent place. The Vietnamese beef stew has chunky beef pieces, carrots and some other exotic potato like vegetable. The curry they use is spicy and close to a thai red curry but more watery. The portion is not that big for the price but was enough for me. There is always a line of people waiting to get takeaway but its well worth it.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT go here for the Pho!  I ordered chicken Pho and was horrified when a pre-sorted bowl of noodles (Flat, not traditional Pho noodles), chicken, etc was filled to the brim with boiling water!   This is not Pho and not worth your time. 

I did not eat anything else here, so can't comment on it. But based on the in-authentic Pho, I can honestly say, I will not be back to take that gamble

Another one of my favorite lunch places, and a less crowded version of City Caphe nearby. Their pork chop special served with fried rice is my favorite dish on their menu. The pho is ok, but the noodles don't feel authentic, although the broth is nice. I tend to prefer their rice boxes, which can be topped with lemongrass chicken, lemongrass beef, curry, etc. The fact that they put salad on top of it is a bit odd to me, but they always ask you whether you want it so it's fine. Unfortunately their egg rolls are nowhere as good as City Caphe's.

This is right around the corner from my office and my go-to spot for when I need my viet cravings satisfied. It's a good lunch spot to just jump into and grab a quick bite to eat. The bahn mi and pho are okay and the rice dishes a bit better. Either way, it's consistent good hot food for a lunch option that will get you out of the office!

YUMMY! I am currently scoffing a box full of spicy deliciousness and cramming prawn crackers into my face! This place is great, super friendly staff too, which is always a bonus. Get there early though to benefit from the full range of scrumptious treats they have. Their summer rolls are so good and really filling too!
