Our stay at the West Hollywood Edition ended up being something close to a nightmare..
My wife and I, both celebrating our birthdays on the same day, booked this hotel as Bonvoy Gold members, expecting a memorable and relaxing experience. What we got instead was one of the worst hotel experiences we've ever had.
Despite requesting a quiet nice room in advance, we were placed in a 2nd-floor room with a depressing view of an old abandoned, broken house and were forced to endure a loud and obnoxious crowd in the room next door. At 12:30 AM, with our 4-year-old child unable to sleep, we called the front desk three times, asking for a solution.
The staff's response was beyond unprofessional and shockingly ignorant. Their **"solution" was to offer us earplugs or move us to a room on the 1st floor, that I was requested to check together with the manager. The room was located directly next to an even bigger party crowd, — and this is not a joke —. The fact that a so-called luxury hotel would even suggest this is absolutely ridiculous and downright disrespectful.
Moving our exhausted child through a chaotic party scene in the middle of the night was completely unacceptable and showed a total lack of care, interest in their guests, and hospitality.
The staff is incompetent, cold, and indifferent to their guests' well-being. Very Strange and cold vibe. We left feeling not only frustrated but disrespected.
If you're looking for sleepless nights, poor customer service, and the feeling of being treated like an inconvenience, this is your place. Otherwise, stay far away from this „Fancy“ hotel.
Rooms are good in size but nothing special, + we had to call the Frontdesk to fix the sink right away as it was not working properly . Never again

Room was average, basic layout and dull furniture. The sound insulation in the room is non-existant. The housekeeping service could be improved, they kept a plate of complimentary brownies and withered fruits that were half eaten out for days. The hotel is very stingy with complimentary water having two 330ml water boxes is not up to par with a 5 star hotel. The hotel lobby has a bar that’s very popular with a questionable crowd on weekends which makes getting in and out of the hotel really uncomfortable. The hotel charges $70 for guests to park their car overnight. The room service menu is underwhelming.

I recently stayed at The West Hollywood Edition and had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making my stay feel luxurious from start to finish. The hotel’s amenities were top-notch, especially the pool, which quickly became my favorite place to relax. The atmosphere by the pool was perfect—chic and serene, with amazing service that added to the experience.

I also want to give a special thank you to Brea, who was exceptionally helpful during my stay. Her attention to detail and professionalism were truly impressive.

Overall, my stay at The West Hollywood Edition was nothing short of perfect, and I can’t wait to return. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an elevated and enjoyable experience.

The staff were warm, friendly, and incredibly accommodating, especially Juan at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, I could sense Juan’s genuine happiness to welcome his guests. He made our check-in seamless and went above and beyond to ensure my family felt at home.

Another standout feature was the rooftop bar, which offered breathtaking views of Los Angeles. Overlooking the city’s iconic skyline while enjoying a drink was an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of our stay.

The entire check-in staff was excellent, but Juan’s personal touch really stood out and left a lasting impression on us.

I highly recommend The West Hollywood Edition for families, couples, or anyone seeking stylish accommodations paired with exceptional service in the heart of LA. Between the warm hospitality and the incredible rooftop views, it’s a place where you truly feel cared for. We can’t wait to return!
