We went as our Christmas celebration meal.  Meal was ok.  We’ve been to Mastro’s in Houston and Scottsdale.  The Miami location was a let down as far as the food and service. Left a 20% tip and felt like I wanted it back — as we were leaving, our server said goodbye niceties to a couple walking out in front of us and then turned her back on us to speak to a coworker as we walked out.

Service was timed poorly.  We ordered our appetizers (bone marrow & shrimp cocktail, which were excellent).  Then before finishing appetizers — here comes our salad!!!  I hate this!! to be rushed at a meal costing over $300 for two people (no alcohol included).  The Mastro’s salad is nothing special and very blah in taste and not well dressed.  My last shrimp in shrimp cocktail appetizer was pushed to the side by server presenting our salads, then our server comes to table and wants to take it away.  I’d like to have time to finish and enjoy every course.  Steaks came with about a 20 minute lag after we finished our salads.  Just poor timing and at this level, staff should be better trained and skilled in this area.  Steaks were both poorly seasoned.  Have had the Mastro’s steaks in Houston and Scottsdale and they were nicely seasoned.  Had to request salt and butter for steaks.  Both steaks were cooked to medium as requested though.  Lobster mashed potatoes were good, but different than Scottsdale.  I think there was asparagus in our order last night, but couldn’t tell as restaurant is so dark.  Several people at other tables were using their phone flashlights just to be able to read the menu.

We didn’t order dessert or coffee.  Overall, we would not return to this location.

This was my second time at Mastro’s but it was for my birthday and once again they did not disappoint. The food there is top tier. Very tasty and delicious. Steaks are juicy and tender. Mastro’s atmostphere is very upscale, relaxing and there is a great vibe there as well. I had a great time for my birthday with my friends and I just love how they take very details serious. I had a nice dessert and loved the features on the menu. They even got me one as a souvenir for home. Ahah. Not to forget that my server was very polite and patient. 10/10. The two times were at the ones in Fort Lauderdale. I had to do my review here for some reasons.

I had the opportunity to dine at the Mastro’s Miami location. The experience was top notch. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the doorman/security guard who was professionally dressed, and took the time to greet and guide me to the restaurant. I think I recall the doorman/security name was Derrick. To have that type of impression from the moment you are greeted outside is impeccable service.

The inside of the restaurant had beautiful views regardless of where you were seated. My waiter explained the entire menu and specials thoroughly. My waiter was also kind enough to take a few pics of myself with the gorgeous backdrop views. My food was brought out freshly hot, not lukewarm, which is a plus for me. The food was also amazing. Overall, this restaurant exceeds its 5 star rating. I loved the experience. It was busy with lots of guests but I never felt rushed. This establishments is perfect for dining with a date, dinner with family or just solo experience. If you’re looking for an upscale and exquisite dining experience. This location is the place to book reservations. I look forward to returning.

Delicious food and an amazing vibe. Romantic place for a date with a water view and excellent service! The food portions are big which is rare for a fine restaurant like this. I shared the bone in ribeye 22 oz with my bf (The server asked the kitchen to split it in two for us, he was very kind). We paired the steak with broccolini, mac and cheese (the best I ever had), and lobster bisque (that the waitress also suggested split in 2). The only bad thing was that I ordered the tuna tartar and nowhere on the menu said it was spicy and had jalapeno. I believe you should report all ingredients for any allergies or personal preferences. The waitress was kind enough to change it for a new one without jalapeno.

We went for our anniversary, and they made sure to make it special. The atmosphere is very welcoming and intimate.
We got the best seat right by the water, with special anniversary menus. Stuff was very pleasant and don’t even get me started on the woman who was singing, gave me goosebumps.
We had their herb roasted branzino and a NY strip. With a side of roasted corn esquites Both came out, cooked to perfection.
Excellent drinks! And I complementary dessert was a nice touch.
Overall 10/10 experience!
