My God, how we love OTS! We're here at least once a month for a concert: BeauSoleil this past Saturday; Cracker, Mariachi Herencia de México, and the Bygones in December and January; Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Destroyer, Suzanne Vega and Rufus Wainwright around the corner! Prices are beyond reasonable, there's not a bad seat in the house and beer and wine at the concession stand are affordable. Personable volunteers are both friendly and helpful. Insider tip: A very reasonably priced tax-deductible membership gives us an opportunity to nab tickets before they go on sale to the general public.

I purchased what were supposed to be two first row balcony seats with a clear, UNOBSTRUCTED view of the concert stage. However, what I received instead were two OBSTRUCTED VIEW balcony seats with a large, UNDISCLOSED railing blocking my view of the entire performance. I received seats G-201 and G-202. These seats were not sold as OBSTRUCTED VIEW. Had this information been disclosed, I would NOT have purchased these tickets. Upon entering the venue and finding my seats, I noticed that seats G-201, G-202, G-203, along with G-101, G-102 and G-103 are the only seats in the entire balcony section affected by this UNDISCLOSED obstruction. I immediately went to the Will Call / Customer Service Desk for help. The customer service representative checked availability but was unable to offer comparable seats. Following the show, I contacted Old Town. Director of Customer Service Erin English was aware of the obstructed view seating, claiming "not many people complain". Regardless of this, she declined a refund and stated Old Town "couldn't provide credit for concerts". However, she did offer to provide 2 tickets to a show of my choice. When a show finally came along that I wanted to see, it happened to be more expensive than what I paid for the original show. Erin once again shifted and instead of providing tickets as previously agreed, now wanted to offer a credit towards ticket purchase...despite previously claiming to be unable to do so. At this point, I just want my money back as they are engaging in consumer fraud by not disclosing their obstructed-view seats. I have attended shows at this venue for 20 years or more. Such a sad and completely avoidable end to my patronage.

This is a review for the 0-12 mo old wiggleworms class. We went on Saturday AMs at 11. It's a busy time of the week in LP but we were always able to find parking fairly easily. The room for this class is right in the front and has a lot of natural light. It is not that big but I think they only had 5-6 families in the class. I felt that they did a really excellent job with covid precautions. All accompanying adult had to show proof of vaccination and fill out a household symptom check list before every class. I also liked that they did not allow you to bring any toys from home and that they give you an egg and scarf at the beginning of the class and you bring that each week. Our teacher was Miranda and she had such a lovely voice and although they all sing the same songs they all put their mark on the songs. The room was pretty small but it was fine since most of the kids were only in the sitting or crawling stage. I did find it hard to learn some of the songs and wish there was a playlist they could direct you to. I like that they generally since the same songs each week so that the babies become familiar with them. For the next class we decided to do it at the Lincoln location during the weekdays and that has been a good experience because there is no traffic getting there and parking is easier.

I love this place. I signed up for beginner guitar classes on a bit of a whim, post break-up and looking for something to distract me, and fill the newly formed void. For $200, it seemed like a healthier alternative to spending the same amount on cocktails. For another $65, I was able to get a songbook and rent a guitar from their Lincoln Square location. I've only been to three classes so far, but we've already learned 6 chords, and several songs. It's great because everyone is a beginner, there's no judgment, and even though my fingers start to hurt before the hour+ class is over, I kind of love it. I don't think I'm a natural born talent, but it is starting to get a little easier and more intuitive. I even dragged my butt there after taking a terrible tumble, resulting in half of my right ribs being badly bruised. I couldn't quite turn without pain, but the pleasure of playing outweighed the pain, and that's how I know I've found something special. I'm hoping I can continue taking classes so that I'm able to play a few songs that I could use to possibly attract the next suitor, or at the very least, entertain my niece and nephew. If you're on the fence...DO IT. Sign up for classes. It might just be the kind of fun you're searching for.

This place is amazing! What I love the most is that they offer Spanish singing classes for babies starting at 6 months of age. It's great to see parents interested in having their young children learn a second language. Yahvi is the instructor for the Hola Wiggleworms and he is just amazing. Such a patient teacher and the class is so much fun. I'm also excited that they offer piano and guitar classes for children as yound as 3. How amazing! This area on Armitage is a bit crowded for my taste (Lincoln Park) but I deal with it in order to enjoy this great school. I highly recommend this school for your little wiggleworms. It's never too early to start learning! :)

Old building- great small venue. We had a table in front of stage on side...what a cool intimate show! Parking can be funky...try to get there early to find neighborhood parking for free. You are cramped in so dont expect a lot of space when in the show. Also, this is a sit and be quiet type of place..check your shananagins at the door...probably leave your dancing shoes there also.

I used to like this place, but now they are so disorganized. They don't tell you when a class package is over or even offer more classes. They canceled classes and don't explain anything to you in how can you get that class back. Just went there today and the person at the door was super rude. SAVE TOUR MONEY AND GO TO A PLACE THAT ACTUALLY VALUES YOU!!

My daughter and I have been taking wiggleworms classes with Bill Brickley for some time now. The program is excellent and Bill has an everlasting warm hearted style of playing/ singing music and interacting with the class. His rhythm and musicianship is excellent and you can tell he is a father himself. He moves the class along in a way that encourages the kids to play nice, wiggle, shake shakers, and drum drums. We have had several make-up classes with other instructors too and it is always something fun / educational (although every teacher has a little different style). Even if your kid is not into music, these classes build solid skills that I see used outside the class all the time.

I take a little girl there for music class. Which she loved the teacher was very interactive, he had a great voice. Small class overall great experience.
