I booked a table for my partner's birthday, but unfortunately, the experience was far from enjoyable.

Upon arrival, we were left waiting outside for nearly 30 minutes before we could finally catch the attention of our waiter—who appeared to be managing all the tables by himself. This was frustrating, especially since I had made a reservation for a special occasion.

Service remained slow throughout the night. One of the waitresses had a very unwelcoming demeanor, and it’s disappointing when staff don’t make an effort to be polite or professional.

As for the food, the starters were underwhelming. The pili pili prawns lacked flavor and were far from what I expected. The mains were even more disappointing. The seafood pasta was dry, and the fish tasted like it had been over-fried in old oil. The peri-peri chicken, though a decent portion, had a sauce that was nowhere near authentic, and there was an unappetizing amount hair and skin on the chicken, very unappetizing. The only positive here was that the chicken itself was tender.

The cocktails were also a letdown. For the prices, I expected much better quality. Unfortunately, they were watered down and didn’t compare to what you’d get at other restaurants at similar price points.

We opted to take the cheesecake to go, as we just wanted to leave after such a frustrating dining experience. On top of everything, the live singer was unnecessarily loud, which made it hard to enjoy any aspect of the evening.

The view was the only real positive, but when you’re paying such high prices, you expect more than subpar food and drinks. As a chef myself, I know what it takes to run a business and deliver quality food, and this was definitely not it. I truly expected more. This meal was valued at R955 and I used a wiki voucher that costed R500, but definitely not anywhere close in terms of standards.

All in all, it was definitely not worth the money. I won’t be returning.

I had a booking and they sent the app details the day before for me to confirm. It's at the top of Hyde Park hotel and Walking in....service needs work. Waiters are kind but I've had better service at a pizza place. No one checks on you, no one asks if you need additional anything or drinks you constantly need to call them. Which is a disappointment as the food is really good. Did I mention they start packing up while they still have people in seats. Great food, Good view, Sub service.

What an amazing experience; loud, in your face, fabulous! Unique wine "tasting" (it is a lot of wine) & food pairing introduced us to a wine brand we were not familiar with. Pleasantly surprised. Pili pili prawns are really really good. Starters are plentyfull to share. Whisky sours will knock a horse out; very strong. Live music. Best sunset. Will be back.

The bar is a cool place to be the atmosphere was set by amazing music the entire 4 hours there, spanning different genres.

Sadly the food was not great. Different people had different impressions. The ribs I ate were horrible and would order them again.

It is a great place to do both a tasting and lunch at one spot which solves having to go to many places.

Stunning view on either side of this stunning place. The atmosphere was relaxed and tastefully furnished. We had the flat bread with Durban curry and jalapeño as well as the tempura prawns as a starter. It was really good. Never had curry on flat bread yet so that was quite a lovely surprise. We each had steaks for lunch. Requested the steak be rare which it was. I was extremely pleased with that. All in all a lovely afternoon with awesome company and good food.
