It's been our family tradition to ring New Year's eve bell at the temple(Konkaikomyoji) where this eatery is located. They mainly serve soba and some hot beverage like "Amazake". It may be average taste but tastes particularly awesome after waiting in the queue in cold weather. "Nishinsoba" a soba bowl topped with herring is my favorite. Soup was very gentle and warms your body quickly. Soba wasn't too soggy, had perfect texture. This is a perfect reward after long wait for the bell.
