Galata Istanbul Hotel is absolutely stunning! From the elegant decor to the luxurious ambiance, everything feels sophisticated and high-class. The attention to detail in the design, service, and overall experience makes it a perfect place to stay. If you’re looking for a fancy and memorable stay in Istanbul, this is the place! Highly recommended. The neighborhood is convenient to have a walk around or in the old town.

Location is ideal and the art deco style to the hotel is lovely.

Highly recommend the hamam! So relaxing.

Overall a very nice hotel with friendly staff.

Restaurant food is v nice especially the soup and whipped apple atom dip with bread. Wait staff very friendly and attentive.

Very comfortable hotel, on the other side of the Golden Horn from main tourist attractions, in a really vibrant less-touristy area. Excellent breakfast, more Turkish/continental than international standard: fantastic breads, pastries, fruit, salad cold meats and cheeses. Cosy bar on ground floor. Restaurants both have fantastic views over Golden Horn. Our room very spacious, comfortable  and quiet.

Very underwhelming performance for a 5-star hotel.

The staff is mostly unhelpful (there is no concierge) and unfriendly (I don't think we ever saw them smiling during our stay).  No turn down service.  The comforter was the wrong size for the mattress and the sheets had holes in them.  There is an abandoned and decrepit building across the street (that's the view from some of the rooms, including ours).  The free use of the hammam is only for 30 minutes per guest, per stay and you have to go through a "car-salesman" speech from the spa manager trying to sell you overpriced spa services.  The ceiling of the room which is vaulted and made of bricks (actually super cool), had water seeping through it after a rainfall and dripping over an open suitcase.

Overall, we did not feel comfortable at this property and ended up leaving a day early.

I stayed in November, I chose a twin room but I got 2 beds combined, like a king but the blanket was very small.
Checked in at night at 9pm or 10pm, and everything went smoothly. However, it turned out that your receptionist was not careful enough to check my payment and when I checked out I was asked to pay £20, no problem just he was negligent when we checked in. So check out took a bit longer.

Breakfast was ok, maybe more variety to western food, I believe 5 star hotels can be more varied for this as not all your guests are from your home country.

Cleanliness in the room, I think is lacking. I found dirt on coffee capsules in the cupboard, dust in the upper cupboard, housekeeping did not check the whole area thoroughly.

On my 2nd night back at the hotel I saw your reception staff/ bellboy smoking and drinking coffee/tea in front of the entrance, really? I'm sure you have a special place for employees during break time.

That's it, hopefully this hotel can be better according to MGallery standard and That's it, hopefully this hotel can be better to MGallery standards which I don't think this hotel has quite reached yet.
