Our experience at the Ritz-Carlton Al Wadi Desert, was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure every moment of our stay was memorable.

Dinner at the Farmhouse was a highlight, with each dish perfectly crafted and full of flavor, making it an unforgettable culinary experience. Our villa was a peaceful oasis beautifully designed with elegant touches that blended luxury with comfort. The serene atmosphere and classy style truly set it apart, creating a perfect escape.

There are wonderful activities nearby, but the star-gazing experience was the most magical part of our trip.

We spent an amazing time at The Ritz Al Wadi desert for a birthday weekend.
Warm welcoming hospitality with peaceful atmosphere.

The room was spacious and the pool at our villa was nice.
The staff were very kind and always helpful, special shout outs to Pablo who made our stay extra nice and special with his warm hospitality.

We ate dinner at farmhouse, the steak was delicious and well seasoned. Great food!

I’ve been a loyal guest at Ritz-Carlton Al Wadi, recommending it to friends for special occasions and celebrating my own moments here. Naturally, I chose it again for my anniversary, anticipating a seamless and enjoyable experience. When I confirmed my booking, I informed the hotel that I would be bringing a photographer to capture special memories with my husband. Over the phone, they assured me this was fine, and we also agreed on a 3:00 PM checkout. I even sent an email on the day of check-in to confirm both points, but I never received a response.

When I arrived, I was shocked by the team’s reaction to the photographer. They informed me that I would need to pay an additional 4000 AED if I wanted her to enter, despite the fact that guests are allowed to freely take photos at the property. I had asked in advance precisely because I respect the rules, yet I felt punished for being transparent. After I pushed back, they said I could only have photos taken in my room, and when I requested transportation to a private area, I was met with a dismissive, “I think my colleague made it clear that you should shoot in your room only, or pay 4000 AED.”

On top of that, they later informed me that I wouldn’t be granted the late checkout that we had agreed on. This entire experience left me deeply disappointed in a place I once considered my favorite getaway. When clients rely on initial conversations to set expectations, it’s frustrating and unfair to have things changed unexpectedly. Consistency and reliability are essential in hospitality, and unfortunately, this stay fell far short.

We loved our stay. The room was spacious and had all the amenities with a private pool. A bicycle came provided with the room, though I preferred to walk when the weather wasn't too hot. Buggy service also provided a lot of convenience to and from the rooms and the main building.

As for activities at the premises, we were delighted to see an oryx, from a safe distance. There was a falcon show and we met Harry the Owl at breakfast. The missus also enjoyed a spa treatment, we had a lovely dinner at the Farmhouse restaurant and the included breakfast was of good standard.

I booked this in the summer and expected it to be more empty than it was. It was pleasantly surprising to see it still lively in the summer heat.

Overall a lovely stay and would definitely stay here again. Maybe in the winter next time.
